They won a whole bunch of games that year, 14 wins. That’s a lot! Only lost one time. Them boys, they were good. They were the best in the whole darn country. Big Ten, they called it. Number one, that’s what they were!

Them Big Names in 2014

I remember that Cardale Jones boy. He was the quarterback, you know. Strong arm on that one. He helped them win the big one. The National Title, they called it. After the 2014 season was done. He sure knew how to throw that pigskin.

  • Cardale Jones, he was a good one.
  • There was that Barrett fella too, J.T. Barrett. He was a quarterback too.
  • That Miller boy, he got hurt. Sad about that, but Barrett, he filled his shoes.

That J.T. Barrett Fella

This Barrett boy, now, he was somethin’. They called him an X-factor. Don’t know what that means, but he sure could play. He could run and he could throw. Boy, could he throw! Threw that ball all over the field. Lots of touchdowns, that boy made. 2834 yards. That’s a whole lot of running to me, bless his heart. And 34 touchdowns. That’s a heap of points. He did throw 10 interceptions. Even the good ones make mistakes sometimes.

They had all sorts of players. They had players for runnin’, players for throwin’, players for catchin’, and players for knockin’ the other fellas down. All them positions on the 2014 Ohio State football depth chart.

All Them Games They Played

They played a lot of teams that year. I don’t remember all of ’em, but they sure did win a lot. They had a schedule, you know. A list of all the teams they played and when they played ’em. And the results. Showed who won and who lost. Mostly, Ohio State, they won!

I remember seein’ some of the names on the roster. It was a long list. Lots of big, strong boys. They had all their numbers and their names and what they did on the team. It was all right there on that paper, the 2014 Ohio State football roster.

What’s a Depth Chart, Anyway?

Now, this depth chart thing, it’s like a list. A list of who plays what and who’s behind who. Like, if the first fella gets tired or hurt, they know who to put in next. It’s all planned out, you see. They got a plan for everything, them football folks.

They got the depth chart for the offense, that’s the fellas who try to score. And they got one for the defense, that’s the fellas who try to stop the other team from scorin’. It’s all very organized. That 2014 ohio state football depth chart, it had it all figured out.

  • First string, that’s the best ones.
  • Second string, they’re pretty good too.
  • Third string, well, they’re learnin’.

Hard Work, That’s What It Is

Playin’ football, it ain’t easy. It’s hard work. Lots of runnin’ and hittin’. Those boys, they practiced all the time. They had to be strong and fast. And they had to know all the plays. It’s a lot to remember. More than I can remember, that’s for sure.

That 2014 team, they worked real hard. You could see it in how they played. They played together, like a real team. That’s important, you know. You gotta work together if you wanna win. Especially in something like a Big Ten football match.

Them Coaches, They Know What They’re Doin’

And the coaches, they were smart. They knew how to teach them boys. They had all sorts of plays and strategies. Ways to trick the other team. It’s like a big game of chess, but with runnin’ and throwin’ and tacklin’.

They had coaches for everything. Coaches for the quarterbacks, coaches for the runnin’ backs, coaches for the fellas who catch the ball. They even had coaches for the fellas who kick the ball. It’s a whole operation, that’s what it is.

A Good Year for Ohio State

So, that 2014 Ohio State football team, they were somethin’ special. They won a lot of games. They had some great players. They had smart coaches. And they worked real hard. That’s why they were number one. That’s why they won the National Title. It was a good year for Ohio State. A real good year.

That 2014 Ohio State football depth chart, it was full of winners. And that’s all I got to say about that. I reckon I need to go shell some peas now. My fingers are gettin’ tired.
