So, y’know, the NFL ain’t just about the players and coaches. There’s a whole team behind the scenes that makes it all happen. One of them folks is the waterboy, which, you might think, “Well, how much do they even make for just handing out water?” Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t just water they’re handing out, it’s a decent paycheck too!

How Much Money Does an NFL Waterboy Make? Average Salary Explained

Now, if you’re wonderin’ just how much an NFL waterboy makes, it’s a fair question. Turns out, the typical NFL waterboy pulls in about $53,000 a year. Yep, you heard that right. Around $53,000! Not too shabby, right? That’s what they say, anyhow, from a site called *. And this ain’t some sort of make-believe number, neither. It’s what they say the average is, but it can vary some.

See, it all depends on the team, how long someone’s been doin’ it, and maybe a few other things. If you’re just startin’ out, you might not make that much at first. But, don’t worry, you’ll still be takin’ home a good chunk of change. The average waterboy makes somewhere around $35,000 a year. That’s pretty good for just handin’ out water bottles, don’t ya think?

And hey, it gets even better if you stick around for a while. Folks who’ve been workin’ with the NFL for longer, they can rake in more. Some even make over $50,000! Ain’t bad for a gig that’s mostly about keepin’ the players hydrated.

But now, I know what you’re thinkin’. “Is it worth it?” Well, depends on how you look at it. If you’re just lookin’ to get your foot in the door, it can be a good way to start. You get to be around the action, watchin’ the games and all. Plus, you’re gettin’ paid! Not to mention, some NFL teams give out Super Bowl rings to their staff, including the waterboys. So yeah, there might be a bit more than just water goin’ around!

How long do waterboys work?

Waterboys ain’t just there for the games. Nope. They’re workin’ 40 hours a week, sometimes more, especially during the season. They gotta be ready for practices, games, and all kinds of other things that come up. So yeah, it’s a full-time job, even if it sounds like you’re just handin’ out drinks.

Do waterboys get paid during the season?

You betcha! During the NFL season, they’re makin’ that salary. Some teams might have a few waterboys to handle everything, so they got a full crew takin’ care of all the hydration needs. Ain’t like one person is doin’ it all themselves.

Can waterboys make more?

Well, it ain’t all just about the salary, you see. The more experienced you are, the higher your chances of gettin’ a bigger paycheck. And sometimes, a team’s status matters too. Some teams might offer more money to their staff, while others might be a bit tighter with the funds.

Now, in some cases, there might even be internships where folks don’t get paid at all, especially if they’re still in high school or college. They might be workin’ to get experience for a future career. But for the full-time folks, you can expect that decent salary I mentioned earlier.

Other perks of the job

Besides the pay, some waterboys also get perks. Like I said earlier, if the team wins the Super Bowl, waterboys might get a Super Bowl ring. That’s a nice little bonus to go along with the paycheck, don’t ya think?

So, in the end, being an NFL waterboy is more than just tossin’ water bottles around. It’s a legit job with a good salary, especially if you’re stickin’ around for the long haul. Plus, you get to be part of a team that’s out there playin’ the big game. Ain’t that something?
