Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this whole Daniel Jones or Derek Carr thing for fantasy football. It’s week 18, and I gotta make a decision, right? So, I started digging into their stats and all that jazz.
First off, I looked at Derek Carr’s career passer rating, which is 92.8. Not too shabby, huh? Then I saw he’s averaging like 214.5 passing yards per game this season. It got me thinking, maybe this guy’s got some consistency. I also found out that he was picked by the Raiders in the second round of the 2014 draft. The fourth quarterback picked, you know? Felt like a bit of trivia, but hey, it’s part of his story.
Then I switched gears and started checking out Daniel Jones. I mean, the experts, and I use that term loosely, are all over the place with their recommendations. Some are saying Jones, others are like, “Nah, go with Carr.” I found this one site that has head-to-head stats. Awards, honors, the whole nine yards. It’s kinda cool, but it didn’t really help me decide.
- I saw that Jones had 12.2 fantasy points against the Panthers.
- Then I saw Carr had 13.4 against the same team!
So, yeah, Carr did a bit better there.
I spent hours, seriously, hours, looking at these tools that are supposed to help you pick who to start. They give you “instant advice” from all these fantasy football “experts.” Honestly, it felt like information overload.
Then there were these guys, the Fantasy Footballers, giving their take on Jones vs. Carr for Week 17. I watched their video, and they were leaning towards Carr. That kinda swayed me a bit, I gotta admit. They just seemed to know what they were talking about more than I did at least.
After all this digging, comparing, and watching, I finally made up my mind. I’m going with Derek Carr. It wasn’t some big “aha!” moment. It was more like, “Okay, I’ve seen enough, and Carr seems like the slightly safer bet.” I mean, both have their ups and downs, but Carr just felt a bit more reliable in the end. Or maybe I just got tired of thinking about it. Who knows? Either way, that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. We’ll see how it plays out, I guess! Wish me luck, folks!
