Okay, so, let me tell you about this “Supra Et Ultra” thing in Starfield. Sounds fancy, right? But it’s basically the starting line if you wanna join the UC Vanguard. I heard about it and thought, “Why not?” So, I went to this MAST building, right after finishing up some other mission, I don’t remember the name now, and this guy Tuala there, he’s like the gatekeeper, offered me a chance to join.
First off, to even get to this point, I had to talk to Commander John Tuala. He’s easy to find, in the MAST lobby in New Atlantis, on Jemison. Getting there was a breeze, just took the NAT tram to the MAST area. The building’s right above the station. You can either take a ramp or an elevator – I took the elevator, felt lazy that day.
Tuala gave me the rundown, and I was in. He told me to use the elevator to get to the Vanguard Orientation Hall. That’s where the fun began.
They called it “education and basic space combat training”, but it was way more intense than it sounds. Basically, I had to go through this simulation, kind of like a video game, but way more realistic.
- First tier, piece of cake.
- Second tier, a bit harder but still no big deal.
- Third tier, okay, now we’re talking.
But by the time I got to the fourth tier, I was sweating. They threw a level 44 ship at me! I mean, seriously? I barely managed to scrape by. I had to get behind that beast and just keep firing, praying it wouldn’t turn around.
There’s also a little secret I found. Inside the simulation room, there’s a break room on the right. I found a skill magazine there that boosts your missile damage. That came in handy.
Anyway, I pushed through, tier after tier. And guess what? If you manage to beat the sixth tier, which is just insane, they hand you 20,000 credits. I did it! 20,000 credits richer, baby!
They say “Supra Et Ultra” means “Above and Beyond”. I guess that’s what I did, going above and beyond in that simulator. After all that, I officially joined the UC Vanguard. It was a wild ride, but totally worth it. Feels good to be part of something bigger, you know? And hey, the extra credits don’t hurt either!
