Okay, so I’ve been getting into tracking player stats, and today, I decided to check out Dak Prescott’s 40-yard dash time. Let me tell you, it turned into a bit of a rabbit hole, but a fun one!
Started Simple
First, I just wanted to see what this guy’s 40 time was. You know, the usual drill. I hit up the usual sports sites, but all they had were his recent game stats. Touchdowns, passing yards, all that stuff, which was cool, but not what I was after. I found out the guy’s been with the Cowboys for 8 seasons. 8 seasons! And he’s thrown for like a zillion yards, 29 something I guess.
Digging Deeper
Then I started going deeper. Found out Dak’s win-loss record is 73-41. Not too shabby, right? There were a bunch of articles with headlines like “Dak Prescott Throwing Ball” and “Dak Prescott Knocked Out.” Geez, the life of a quarterback!
Stats, Stats, and More Stats
Next, I got sucked into the touchdown vortex. Apparently, he’s got 11 touchdowns this season and 213 in his whole career. That’s a lot of scoring! Some folks were asking if he’s ever won a Super Bowl. Turns out, he hasn’t. Poor guy, I hope he is not upset about it.
Getting Technical
Then I stumbled upon some more detailed stats. One site had his passer rating at 91.1 with 2,860 yards. He has also thrown 3 interceptions on 3 occasions, I saw that somewhere too. I don’t even know what all that means, but it sounds impressive. I also learned that his full name is Rayne Dakota Prescott, and he was the 135th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Who knew?
The Final Stretch
Finally, I found a site that seemed to have everything. It had all his stats from every game, broken down by scoring, rushing, you name it. They even had fancy graphs and stuff. It was pretty overwhelming, to be honest. All I wanted to know was his 40 time, I almost forgot about it already!
What I Learned
So, after all that, I still didn’t find his exact 40 time! But I learned a ton about Dak Prescott. He’s a way bigger deal than I realized. Maybe I’ll try to find his 40 time another day. For now, I’m just gonna appreciate the journey, you know? It’s crazy how much info is out there once you start looking. And hey, maybe I’ll even start watching some Cowboys games now!
