Okay, so, I decided to dive deep into this “mets manager 2024” thing. I started by grabbing my phone, and I was going to see who the Mets’ new manager is.
I found out the Mets hired a guy named Carlos Mendoza. Apparently, this Mendoza guy is 43 years old. I also found out that the Mets formally introduced him as their new manager on Tuesday. I don’t know when this Tuesday was, but it must be pretty recently.
Then I was thinking, what about the team? So I started looking into their stats and depth charts. I found out that the Mets had a record of 75 wins and 87 losses in 2023. Also, they were fourth in the NL East. It looks like they didn’t do so hot last year.
Digging Deeper into the Team
I found a website, it’s the official site of Major League Baseball. It had a lot of information about the team. I learned that the team’s depth charts are based on projected playing time. Sounds complicated, but I guess it makes sense. They need to plan who’s going to play and when.
- Team Stats: I looked at the Mets’ 2024 team stats. I compared their stats with other teams in the MLB. It was pretty interesting to see how they stacked up against other teams.
- Depth Charts: The depth charts were a bit confusing at first, but then I figured it out. It seems like these charts are super important for the team. It’s like a strategy map.
I spent a few hours going through all this information. I was just curious about who this new manager was and how the team was doing. It seems like they’re trying to get it together for 2024, hopefully, they can improve this season. It was interesting to see how it all works. I’m not sure if I understand it all, but at least I got a basic idea.
Anyway, that’s my little adventure into the Mets’ world. It was a good time, and I think I learned something new.
