Okay, so I’ve been meaning to write this one up for a while now. It’s about checking bans in League of Legends. Yeah, that game we all love and sometimes hate.
First off, I opened up the League of Legends client on my computer. I mean, where else would I start? With more than 140 champions, it’s always a challenge to pick the right one, but that’s a story for another day.
Then, I went into a game. Played a few rounds, had some wins, had some losses – you know, the usual. But during one of the games, things got a little heated. Let’s just say some words were exchanged, and I might have gone a bit overboard. Oops.
After that game, I got this message saying I should watch my behavior or I might get banned. So, naturally, I got a little worried. I mean, no one wants to get banned, right?
I tried signing back in a few times, but kept getting the same message. I thought, “Maybe there’s a way to check if I’m actually banned or if it’s just a warning?” It’s like, if you think you might have overstepped the mark, you gotta find out how bad it is.
I started digging around, and I found out there’s this thing called a “Summoner Name Ban.” Apparently, you can check when a name becomes available if it’s been banned. Interesting, right?
I also stumbled upon some stuff about the Public Beta Environment (PBE). They say it’s a place where you can test out upcoming patches and new champions. I thought, “Hey, maybe I can sign up for a PBE account and see if my main account is banned from there?”
So, I tried to create a PBE account. The website asked me to sign in, or create an account if I didn’t have one. There was also some small text saying the site is protected by hCaptcha and its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. I clicked through all that, just to see what would happen.
Turns out, I couldn’t sign in with my main account on the PBE either. That’s when I realized, “Okay, I might actually be banned on my main account.”
Feeling a bit defeated, I decided to check out some forums and support pages. I figured there had to be answers somewhere. And yeah, there were a bunch of threads with people asking the same thing – “Think there’s a problem? Need further assistance?” and all that.
After reading through a bunch of stuff, I finally understood how to check my ban status properly. It wasn’t as simple as I thought, but hey, I learned something new.
So, here’s what I did:
- Logged out of the League client completely.
- Waited for a few minutes, just to be sure.
- Tried logging in again, but this time I paid attention to the messages.
- Checked my email associated with the account for any notifications from Riot Games.
And guess what? I found an email saying I was temporarily suspended. Phew, at least it wasn’t permanent. It explained the reason for the suspension and how long it would last.
In conclusion
It was a bit of a scare, but I managed to figure out how to check my ban status in League of Legends. It’s not the most straightforward process, but if you follow the steps and check your email, you should be able to find out what’s going on. Now I know, I’ll just have to be more careful next time. After all, with so many champions to master, I’ve got a lot more games to play!
