Alright, guys, so I’ve been getting really into this UFC 4 game lately, and let me tell ya, it’s a whole different beast compared to the older ones. I started by creating my own fighter, and this time, they changed up how you pick your fighter’s style. It’s not like before where you just pick moves one by one.
I decided to jump straight into the “career mode”. I spent a good chunk of time experimenting with different fighting styles. They have this new way of doing things where you pick an archetype, and that determines your fighter’s stance and how they move. Then you gotta tweak their skills and perks, which was kinda cool.
I experimented with a whole bunch of them.
- There was this “Razor” one where I felt like I was imitating Buakaw. That was pretty badass.
- Then there was this “Powerhouse” style where I was just trying to knock everyone’s lights out with sheer force. Fun for a while.
- I found out that this kickboxer style is like a super popular choice. I guess I could see why, because you are quick and you can use both your fists and legs. It’s pretty balanced.
A lot of people online seem to like this balanced style too.
I even tried out the wrestler style. This was a whole different ball game, all about grappling and taking people down. It was alright, but I found myself struggling to get the hang of the controls. I was getting submitted left and right, you know?
After a lot of trial and error, I started to get a feel for what I liked. I found myself leaning towards that balanced type. You are kinda quick on your feet, which is great for dodging punches and getting out of the way. Plus, you can use both your fists and your legs, so you’ve got a good mix of attacks. You can keep your opponents guessing, which is a huge plus. You can throw a punch, then follow it up with a kick, or vice versa. It’s great for throwing people off. You know, I felt like I could adapt to different opponents more easily with this style. I think I did better with this one.
Eventually, after hours of playing, I finally made it to the championship fight. It was a tough match, my opponent was no joke, but I managed to pull off a win in the third round with a knockout. Man, that feeling was amazing! I kept playing, and I even managed to defend my title a few times. Felt like a real champ, haha.
Honestly, the key is to just play around and find what works for you. There’s no right or wrong answer, it’s all about your personal preference. So, get in there, try out different styles, and have fun! That’s what it’s all about, right?
