Alright, let’s talk about forts in Sea of Thieves. I’ve been playing this game for a while now, and forts have always been a big part of the experience. They’re these massive structures in the sea, guarded by skeletons, and they’re full of loot. Sounds exciting, right? It is, but it’s also pretty challenging.
So, the first thing I did was try to figure out how to get close to these forts. I mean, you can’t just sail right up to them. You’ll get blasted by cannons before you even get close. I saw some people online saying to head straight for the fort, and you’ll only get hit once or twice. I thought, “Okay, let’s give it a shot.”
I hopped on my sloop, set sail, and aimed straight for the nearest fort. And guess what? They were right! I got hit a couple of times, but it wasn’t too bad. I managed to patch up the holes and bail out the water without much trouble. I pulled up to the fort, dropped anchor, and got ready for a fight. But it was really tough.
Facing the Skeleton Waves
Once you’re at the fort, the real fun begins. You have to fight waves of skeletons. And these aren’t your average, everyday skeletons. Some of them have guns, some have bombs, and some are just really tough to kill. Then the stronger skeletons came out. They were glowing, and some were made of plants. Those plant ones just kept regenerating health.
- Wave after wave, I fought these skeletons. I used my cutlass, my pistol, and even my blunderbuss.
- I ran around the fort, trying to find cover and pick off the skeletons one by one.
- I died a few times, but that’s just part of the game. You respawn on your ship and can sail back to the fort to continue the fight.
After what felt like forever, I finally defeated all the skeleton waves. Then came the boss, a Skeleton Lord. This guy was tough. He had a lot of health, and he could teleport around the fort. But I kept at it, dodging his attacks and firing back whenever I had the chance. I don’t know how long it took, maybe 30 minutes of running and shooting.
Reaping the Rewards
Finally, I defeated the Skeleton Lord. He dropped a key, which I used to open the vault in the fort. And let me tell you, it was worth it. The vault was filled with treasure chests, gold, and other valuable items. I loaded everything onto my ship, feeling like the richest pirate in the world. But I wasn’t in the clear yet, there were other ships in the area. I watched them fight each other.
Sailing away from the fort, I kept an eye out for other players. I knew they’d be after my loot. And sure enough, I got chased by a galleon. It was a tense chase, but I managed to outmaneuver them and sell my loot at an outpost. I saw the galleon again, but this time they were getting chased by a brig. I watched them sail around for a few minutes before turning in my loot.
So, that’s my experience with forts in Sea of Thieves. It’s a challenging but rewarding part of the game. If you’re looking for some excitement and a lot of loot, give it a try. Just be prepared for a fight!
