Okay, so I’ve been playing Honkai Star Rail for a while now, and I really wanted a better way to track my pulls. You know, see my pity count, check out my 5-star history, all that good stuff. The in-game history only goes back so far, and it’s kinda clunky. So, I decided to do something about it and build my own tracker

I started by poking around online, I know some people are great at finding solutions. I found a couple of tools, but they were either web-based or I Just feel troublesome to use.
So, I did some good old-fashioned digging, the game must have records locally!
I found a folder that looked promising. It was something like “Star Rail Game” inside, I began to search some file that may store the information. There were a bunch of files, and I opened some of them with notepad. Luckily, I found some files seems like some logs I need!
I started to guess what all that stuff meant. There’s timestamps, character IDs, gacha types…it was all a bit overwhelming at first. But I’m stubborn, so I kept at it, comparing the data with my in-game pull history.
I started to see patterns. I could identify which pulls were 5-stars, which were 4-stars, and what banner they came from. It was like cracking a code! I even figured out how to calculate my pity count based on the timestamps and gacha types. It’s all start make sense for me.
Now, I have a much clear tracker for my pulls, I have successfully record all my history, and I don’t need to rely on those tools or in-game function. I can check all of them myself!
