Okay, so I saw this thing online about Steve Harvey and boxing, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I mean, I’m no athlete, but I like a good challenge. So here’s how it all went down.
Getting Started
First, I googled “Steve Harvey boxing workout” or something like that. Found some clips of him training, looking all intense. I’m thinking, “Okay, this looks… doable?” I’ve done some basic boxing before, like, hitting a bag a few times at the gym, nothing serious.
The “Workout”
- Warm-up: I did some jumping jacks, arm circles, you know, the usual stuff to get the blood flowing. Felt like a total goofball, but hey, gotta start somewhere.
- Shadow Boxing: This was… interesting. I tried to copy some of the moves I saw Steve doing in the videos. Jab, cross, hook… I felt like I was fighting an invisible ghost. My form was probably terrible, but I was definitely sweating.
- “Heavy Bag” (aka my couch cushions): I don’t have a heavy bag, so I improvised. I stacked some couch cushions against the wall and went at it. It wasn’t pretty, and the cushions kept falling over, but I got some punches in.
- Cool-down: Stretched a bit, tried to catch my breath. Felt like I’d run a marathon, even though I’d probably only been “boxing” for like 20 minutes.
My Thoughts
Honestly, it was harder than I expected! Steve Harvey makes it look easy, but that man is in shape. I was completely winded after just a few minutes. But you know what? It was also kind of fun. I felt like a badass, even if I looked like a clumsy one. I do not think i can be a boxer.
Will I keep doing it? Maybe. It’s a good workout, and it’s definitely a stress reliever. Plus, who knows, maybe one day I’ll be able to punch like Steve Harvey. Or at least not fall over while punching couch cushions.
I will record the video next time!
