Okay, so today I wanted to dig into the stats from the Texas Rangers vs. Boston Red Sox game. I’ve been trying to get better at understanding baseball data, so I figured this would be a good exercise.

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to find a place to get the data. There are a few different websites out there, but I’m familiar with and it usually has what I need, so I started looking into that.
Finding the Right Data
Once I knew where to get stats, my next thought was: What am I going to compare? I knew I wanted to look at how key players had performaned, and since it was “Rangers vs Red Sox” I thought about player stats. So, I went to find both of them.
Putting It All Together
After I finally pulled all the stats I felt like I had a pretty good handle on how some of the players performed. I looked at the stats of players like:
- Marcus Semien:He got some hits.
- Corey Seager:A pretty good average.
- Rafael Devers:He got some hits.
- Triston Casas:A pretty good average.
Honestly, sifting through all this data can be a bit of a headache, but it’s also pretty satisfying to start seeing patterns and getting a better feel for how these guys are playing. This is just a start, but I’m hoping to keep digging into this stuff and maybe even build some of my own little stat-tracking tools down the road.
