Okay, so I’ve been trying to get into crosswords lately. It’s, like, a whole thing. I saw this “Minotaur Home Crossword” and thought, “Yeah, I can do that.” It sounded kinda cool and mysterious, you know?

First, I googled it. I needed to find the actual crossword! It took a bit of scrolling, but I finally found a printable version. I don’t have a printer at home, I had to save as a image and open it on my tablet.
Next, I grabbed my tablet and a stylus. I like doing crosswords digitally because it’s easier to erase. My handwriting is terrible, honestly.
Getting Started
I started with the across clues. I always do that. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s just habit. The first few were easy, like, super basic stuff. I filled those in no problem. I felt pretty good, like a crossword champion or something.
Then, things got tougher. There were a bunch of clues I had absolutely no idea about. Mythology stuff, mostly. I’m not great at mythology. My brain just doesn’t retain that kind of information. I stared at the blank squares for a good ten minutes, feeling totally lost.
- I tried guessing a few times, but that didn’t really work.
- I even tried to use the letters I already had to figure out the other words. That helped a little, but not much.
Giving in and result
Finally, I gave in and searched some of the clues online. I know, I know, it’s cheating. But I was getting frustrated! I just wanted to finish the thing.
With a little help from the internet (okay, a lot of help), I managed to complete the crossword. It took me way longer than it probably should have, but I did it! I felt a weird mix of accomplishment and guilt. Like, I finished it, but I also cheated.
I might try another crossword sometime, but maybe an easier one. Or maybe I’ll just stick to Sudoku. Less mythology involved there.
