Okay, folks, let’s talk about getting that god roll Rufus’s Fury in Destiny 2 for PvE. I’ve been grinding this thing out, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey.

My Hunt for the Perfect Roll
First, I jumped into the Root of Nightmares raid. I’ve done this raid countless times, but you know how it is, sometimes the RNG gods just aren’t with you.
I started by clearing the encounters. Focusing on speed, trying to get through each section as quick as humanly possible. Cataclysm? No problem, hammered through it. Scission? Piece of cake with a good team. The Macrocosm? A bit of coordination, but we got it done.
- Cataclysm:Used to be the time-loss, but now not that hard.
- Scission: Just follow the call.
- Macrocosm: Good team makes it easy.
Finally made to Nezarec. We wiped a few times – somebody always messes up the refuge, right? – but eventually, we got him down. And… no Rufus’s Fury. Bummer.
The Grind Continues
So, I kept at it. Week after week, I ran the raid. I joined different groups, some good, some… not so good. I even tried soloing some parts when I got desperate, but that didn’t really pan out for the weapon drops.
I started experimenting with different strategies. I watched videos, I read guides, I tried all sorts of things to try and boost my chances. It felt like I was living in the raid.
After many, many tries, another Rufus’s Fury dropped. But the perks? Trash. Demolitionist and Moving Target? Seriously? That’s more of a PvP roll. Ugh.
Finally, a Glimmer of Hope
Then, one glorious run, it happened. Another Rufus’s Fury. I held my breath and checked the perks.
And there it was:

- My personal god roll: Reconstruction and Target Lock.
YES! Finally! Reconstruction to auto-reload and Target Lock, which is good in PvE contents.
What I Learned
This whole process taught me a few things:
- Patience is key. Seriously, you’re gonna need a lot of it.
- Don’t be afraid to experiment. Try different strategies, different groups.
- Know your perks. Really figure out what works best for you.
So, there you have it. My journey to the Rufus’s Fury god roll. It was a long one, but totally worth it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go melt some bosses.
