Okay, so I finally decided to dive deep into Baldur’s Gate 3 and figure out all the possible endings for Wyll. Man, it was a journey, let me tell you!

First, I started a new playthrough, making sure to recruit Wyll early on. I wanted to have him in my party for as much of the game as possible, you know, to really see his story unfold and make choices that would affect him.
Making the Pact
I played along with his questline, carefully going through the whole thing with his dad, the Duke. I made certain choices, trying out different outcomes.
- I tried to side with Mizora. It led down a darker path, It was intense, and I felt Wyll change, not necessarily for the better.
- Then, I reloaded a save – thank goodness for save files! – and tried breaking the pact. This was tough! It involved some serious sacrifices.
The Final Battles
When I got to the end of the game, with the whole Elder Brain showdown, the choices I made for Wyll really started to matter. I realized that the way Wyll acted and what he did in those last battles really determined which ending I got for him.
I replayed the final battles a few times. Sometimes I let Wyll become the Blade of Avernus. Other times, I focused on freeing him from his pact completely. Seeing the different outcomes was wild – the variations were pretty significant depending on those crucial decisions.
Epilogue
Finally! After all that, I got to the epilogue.
Based on my playthroughs, I was able to see some distinct endings:
- The one where Wyll remained the Blade of Avernus, I felt like it was a bittersweet ending, even a bit somber.
- The other one where he was free, he was totally different.
Honestly, it took a lot of trial and error, reloading saves, and trying different dialogue options. But it was worth it to see how much my choices actually shaped Wyll’s fate. Now I can say I get it!
