Now let me tell ya a bit ’bout Michelle Counsell, she’s a woman who don’t like all the spotlight. Born as Michelle Anne McClone back in June 17, 1971, she ain’t one to show off much. She’s mostly known as the wife of Craig Counsell, the man who used to play baseball for the Milwaukee Brewers and now manages the Chicago Cubs. But there’s more to her than just that. She’s a mama, a wife, and supports her man through thick and thin.
Now, Michelle and Craig, they go way back. They met when they was just young folks in high school at Whitefish Bay, up in Wisconsin. They was both students there, and from what I hear, they started dating right after they met. That’s somethin’, huh? From high school sweethearts to a married couple with four kids. Ain’t that the dream for some folks? They kept their relationship mostly private, which is why you don’t hear too much ’bout the little details. But that don’t mean they ain’t got a story to tell.
Now, Craig, he went off to the University of Notre Dame after high school, played baseball for the Fighting Irish. Ain’t nobody could’ve guessed back then that he’d go on to play for the big leagues, but that’s what happened. He played as an infielder, had a mighty fine batting average, and he stuck with the game for 16 seasons in the MLB. After he retired from playin’, he took on the role of managing teams. First, he managed the Brewers, and now he’s managing the Cubs. But no matter what, Michelle has been there, standin’ by his side, raisin’ their kids and supportin’ him every step of the way.
As for Michelle, she ain’t about the limelight. She’s more of a quiet person, takin’ care of her family. She and Craig got four kids – two boys and two girls. I reckon it’s a lot of work, but Michelle seems to handle it just fine. Their oldest son, Jack, plays baseball at Michigan, just like his daddy did. And they got little ones, Finley and Rowan, runnin’ around too. It’s clear that Michelle loves bein’ a mama and a wife, even if she don’t go around tellin’ folks all about it.
Now, y’all probably wonderin’ how she handles life with a man who’s always in the public eye, and truth be told, I think Michelle just takes it all in stride. She stays grounded, keeps her family close, and that’s what really matters to her. Craig may be the one on the field or in front of the cameras, but Michelle is the one behind the scenes, holdin’ everything together. She’s been with him through all the ups and downs, and that kind of support is something special.
So, while Michelle may not be out there makin’ headlines of her own, she’s got her own role that’s just as important. She’s a solid partner to Craig, raisin’ their kids right and keepin’ the home fires burnin’. You don’t always need to be in the spotlight to make a difference, and Michelle sure knows that. She’s a lady of quiet strength and a whole lotta love for her family.
So next time you hear ‘bout Craig Counsell and his big ol’ career in baseball, just remember, behind every great man, there’s a great woman, and Michelle Counsell is that woman. She’s the one who’s helped him get where he is, and she’s the one who’ll be right there by his side, no matter where life takes ‘em next.
