Hey there, you young folks! Let me tell ya somethin’ about these here… whatchamacallits… basketball bobbleheads. You know, those little shaky-head guys? Yeah, those things.
What are these basketball bobbleheads anyway?
Well, they’re like small statues, see? But their heads, they jiggle and wobble around. Mostly, they look like basketball players, you know, the fellas who run around on the court, throwin’ that orange ball. Sometimes they make ’em look like the team mascots too, those funny-lookin’ creatures that dance around and get the crowd all riled up.
I saw some pictures online, they got all sorts of players. Big ones, small ones, famous ones, not-so-famous ones. They even got this fella, Stephen Curry, people seem to like him a lot. He plays for somethin’ called the Golden State Warriors. They make a bunch of different bobbleheads of him, one’s called a “Highlight Series” one and another’s a “Homecourt Counter” one. Fancy names, huh?
Where can you get these things?
Now, I ain’t been to no fancy stores lately, my old legs ain’t what they used to be. But from what I hear, you can get these bobbleheads all over the place. The NBA, that’s the basketball league, they got their own online store, they sell ’em there. They say you can find all sorts of players, even those Hasbro Starting Lineup figurines. Sounds like a lot of choices to me.
And then there’s this place called FOCO. They got a whole shop full of nothin’ but basketball bobbleheads. They got fellas like Ja Morant, and some older guys too, like Tim Duncan and Victor Wembanyama. Prices are all over the place, some cheap, some not so cheap. They even got some on sale, half off! That’s a good deal, right?
- NBA Store: Lots of players and figures, even those new Hasbro ones.
- FOCO: All sorts of basketball bobbleheads, all-stars and such.
- eBay: Folks sellin’ all kinds of bobbleheads there, new and old. You can even find deals and free shipping sometimes. I even saw some fella named Chick Hearns, must be from the Los Angeles Lakers and a Jeremy Lin bobblehead. Never heard of them myself, but someone must like ’em.
Why do people like these bobbleheads so much?
Beats me! I guess folks like to collect things, you know? Like my grandson collects them little cards with the pictures of baseball players. These bobbleheads are kinda like that, but bigger and shakier. People like to show off their favorite players, I guess. And some of them are pretty well made, from what I can see in them pictures. They say they are “high quality” and show off all the players and mascots real good.
Are they worth the money?
Well, that depends on how much money you got and how much you like them shaky-head fellas. Some of them are cheap, like I said, but some can cost a pretty penny. If you’re a big fan of a certain player or team, maybe it’s worth it to you. But me? I’d rather spend my money on a good plate of fried chicken and some sweet tea. That’s somethin’ that’ll fill ya up and make ya happy.
But hey, if you like basketball and you like them little shaky-head guys, go ahead and get yourself a bobblehead. Just don’t spend too much money, and don’t let them things take over your house. You don’t want to be trippin’ over all them little fellas when you’re trying to get around.
Just remember what I told ya, you can find these things at the NBA store, at FOCO, and even on that eBay website, where folks are always sellin’ stuff. Just be careful and don’t get swindled, ya hear? There are good deals to be had if you know where to look. Now, go on and have yourself a good day, and don’t forget to eat your vegetables!
