Alright, let’s gab about these big ol’ basketball fellas, the ones that make the whole court shake when they stomp around. You know, the real hefty ones, the kind that remind me of my prize-winning pumpkin back in the day – big and round!
We’re talkin’ about the heaviest fellas in that NBA thing. Heaviest, you get it? Like, who weighs the most. I heard tell there’s some fellas playin’ this year that are real heavy, like, heavier than my old plow horse, Bessie, bless her soul.
Now, they got this one fella, Jusuf Nurkic. They say he’s a center, whatever that means, for some team called the Portland Trail Blazers. Apparently, this Nurkic guy tips the scales at a whopping 290 pounds! Can you imagine? That’s like two of me, and I ain’t exactly a featherweight, you know. And he’s real tall too, somethin’ like seven feet or somethin’. Must be hard findin’ clothes that fit a fella that big.
Then there’s another one, Boban Marjanović. He’s from some place called Serbia, sounds foreign, don’t it? They say he’s around the same weight as Nurkic, about 290 pounds too. That’s a lot of beef on the court, I tell ya. I bet them fellas eat a whole heap of grub after a game. Makes my Sunday supper look like a snack!

Now, I hear there’s been some other big fellas in the past. Like this one fella, Robert Bobroczkyi, they say he was like, seven foot seven! Taller than my barn door, I reckon. They didn’t say how heavy he was, but with that height, he had to be a big ‘un. But he don’t play no more, seems like.
And there’s talk about fellas like Tacko, and Muresan, and some fella they call “Tractor” Traylor. Sound like farm equipment, don’t they? They musta been pretty hefty too, but I don’t rightly know how much they weighed. Folks just say they were big.
It’s kinda funny, ya know? These fellas runnin’ and jumpin’ and throwin’ that ball around, bein’ all athletic and such, and they’re big as houses! Makes you wonder how they do it. I get winded just walkin’ to the henhouse these days.
Speaking of records, there’s this other fella, Klay Thompson. He ain’t heavy, not like them other fellas, but he’s got a record for throwin’ the ball in the hoop from far away. They call ‘em “three-pointers,” whatever that means. He made like, 14 of ‘em in one game! That’s a lot, even I know that. He must have a real good aim, like when I used to throw horseshoes at the county fair.
So, there ya have it. A little somethin’ about the heavy fellas in that basketball league. It’s somethin’ else, all these big fellas playin’ ball. Makes ya think about how much they must eat and how strong they gotta be. I tell ya, it’s a whole different world than my little ol’ farm.
But hey, it’s somethin’ to talk about, ain’t it? And who knows, maybe next year there’ll be even bigger fellas playin’. Maybe they’ll have one so big he’ll need his own tractor to get up and down the court! Now that would be somethin’ to see.
