Alright, so, let’s talk about this whole Cody Rhodes and The Rock thing, ya know? Folks been yappin’ about it, and I figured I’d throw in my two cents.
So, there they was, on that wrestlin’ show, Monday Night Raw, I think they called it. The Rock, big fella, muscles everywhere, and Cody, the new champ. They’re standin’ in the ring, and The Rock, he hands Cody somethin’. Nobody really knew what it was at first. Folks were all a-buzzin’ like bees around a honey pot.
Now, some smarty-pants folks on the internet, they figured it out pretty quick. Said it was a note. A hand-written note! Can you believe it? In this day and age, with all them fancy phones and whatnots, they still writin’ notes. Anyway, this note, it had a question on it. A real important question, they say. What was that question? Well, nobody’s tellin’ for sure, but it got everyone talkin’, that’s for darn sure.
- Some folks, they say it was somethin’ about a rematch. The Rock wants another shot at Cody’s title, maybe?
- Then there’s them other folks, they got wilder ideas. They talkin’ ’bout some ring that Cody lost a while back. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss over a piece of jewelry if you ask me.
- And then there’s this other fella, Bully Ray, he says somethin’ about a broken watch and a broken heart. Lordy, these wrestlin’ folks are dramatic!
But here’s what I think. I think it’s all just a big show. They want us to talk, they want us to wonder. That’s how they get you to watch the next show, ya see? They dangle somethin’ in front of your face, and you just gotta know what it is. It’s like when you smell pie bakin’ but can’t see it. You just gotta find that pie!
And this Cody fella, he’s doin’ alright for himself, ain’t he? Heard he’s makin’ a whole bunch of money. Half a million dollars just for showin’ up, they say! And then he gets even more from sellin’ t-shirts and stuff. Land sakes, that’s more money than I’ve seen in my whole life! And let’s not forget about that fancy watch Triple H and them other fellas gave him. Heavy as a brick, they say. Guess that’s what happens when you’re the champ.
So, what did The Rock give Cody? Well, he gave him a question, that’s for sure. And he gave him somethin’ to think about. And most importantly, he gave us somethin’ to talk about. That’s the whole point, ain’t it? They keep us guessin’, they keep us watchin’. And that’s how they make their money, those clever fellas. They ain’t dumb, no sirree.
And you know what? It’s workin’. Here I am, talkin’ about it, ain’t I? Guess they got me good. But that’s alright. It’s kinda fun, all this fuss and bother. Just gotta remember it’s all just a show, ya know? Don’t get too worked up about it. It’s like them soap operas on the TV, all dramatic and whatnot. But hey, it gives us somethin’ to do, right? Keeps us entertained. And that’s worth somethin’, I guess. Now, where’s my tea? All this talkin’ has made me thirsty.
But one thing’s for sure, whatever The Rock gave Cody, it’s got everyone talkin’. And that’s exactly what they wanted. They’re smart, those fellas. Real smart.
