Alright, so let’s talk about this Rory guy, Rory Mc-something, the golfer. You know, the one they always show on TV swinging them sticks. Heard he made a big deal with Nike, the shoe people. Yeah, them shoes with the swoosh. Everybody’s wearin’ ‘em now.
Well, this Rory, he’s been with Nike for a long time, I reckon. Started way back, like 2013 or somethin’. Folks were sayin’ he got a big ol’ contract then, like real big. Heard tell it was somethin’ like 200 million dollars! Can you believe that? That’s more money than I ever seen in my whole life, and then some!
Now, they say this deal was for 10 years. Ten years of wearin’ them Nike clothes and hittin’ them balls with Nike sticks. Sounds like a good gig to me. Get paid just to wear clothes and play a game. Wish I had that kind of luck.
But the story don’t end there, you see. Seems like they renewed the deal a few years back, in 2017 or somethin’. Same kinda money, they say. Another 200 million dollars. That boy’s rollin’ in dough, I tell ya. Must be nice.
Some folks are sayin’ he makes like, 10 or 20 million dollars a year just from Nike. Just from wearin’ them clothes! That’s more than most folks make in a lifetime. And that ain’t even countin’ the other money he gets from winnin’ them golf games and such. He’s got other sponsors too, I heard. Lots of ‘em.

Heard tell he’s one of the top golfers in the world. Number one, some say. Guess that’s why Nike wants him so bad. They want their clothes on the best, you know? Smart fellas, them Nike people. They know what they’re doin’.
This whole thing reminds me of that Tiger fella. Tiger Woods, yeah, that’s the one. He was with Nike too, way back when. Made a big deal with them, just like Rory. Guess Nike likes them golfers. They got the money, and the golfers got the fame. Good match, I reckon.
It’s a funny thing, this sponsorship business. You get paid just to wear somebody’s clothes and use their stuff. Never seen nothin’ like it. Back in my day, you worked hard for your money. Didn’t get nothin’ for free. But times change, I guess.
Anyways, Rory’s doin’ alright for himself, that’s for sure. Got that Nike money comin’ in, and he’s playin’ that golf game. Livin’ the high life, I’d say. Good for him, I guess. He earned it, right?
So, that’s the story, as far as I can tell. Rory and Nike, a match made in money heaven. He wears the clothes, they pay the bills. Simple as that. And the rest of us just watch on TV and wonder how they do it. Life’s funny, ain’t it?
Now, you know, some folks say this kind of deal, it’s just too much money. Saying nobody needs that much. But who am I to judge? If they want to give it to him, and he wants to take it, that’s their business. I ain’t got nothin’ to do with it. Just tellin’ ya what I heard.
And it’s a pretty good story, don’t ya think? All that money for hittin’ a little ball around. Makes ya think, it does.
So there ya have it. Rory, Nike, and a whole lotta money. That’s the long and short of it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some dinner. Got some potatoes to peel and some beans to cook. Real work, you know? Not like this fancy pants golf stuff.
