Alright, so you wanna know what happened to this Freddie Freeman fella, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it’s been a whole heap of things, like a bumpy road, ya know? Not smooth sailing, that’s for sure.
First off, they say the poor guy, he was real choked up, tears and all. Couldn’t hardly talk, they say. Something about a pre-game thing, and then some ceremony. He was just a mess, bless his heart. Imagine, a grown man cryin’ like that. Must’ve been somethin’ serious.
- He was all weepy, that’s what they said.
- Couldn’t keep it together, nope, not at all.
- Walked away to get himself together, poor thing.
Then there’s this whole thing about his young’un. Seems like the little tyke was poorly, ended up in the hospital. Can you imagine the worry? A parent’s worst nightmare, that is. No wonder the man wasn’t himself. Makes you think, all that money and fame, and it don’t mean a thing when your kid’s sick.
And wouldn’t you know it, then he goes and hurts himself! His ankle, they say. Sprained it somethin’ awful at the end of the season. Tried to play through it, tough fella, but it just got worse. They had to take him outta the game, put in some other fella. Max this and Enrique that, I dunno these fellas. But Freddie, he was out, that’s for sure.
Now, they’re sayin’ he had to have surgery on that ankle. Cut him open, I guess. But the good news is, they reckon he’ll be alright for next year. Spring trainin’ and all that. He’ll be back, stronger than ever, they say. Hope so, for his sake.
But that ain’t all, no sirree. There’s more to this story, like a tangled-up ball of yarn. Seems like there was some trouble with his team, the Atlanta somethin’-or-others. Negotiations, they called it. Fancy word for arguing about money, if you ask me. His agent, this fella he pays to talk for him, and the team manager, they just couldn’t agree. So, Freddie, he had to leave. Went off to Los Angeles, to play for some other team.
Now, he says he liked it in Atlanta, real fond of it. But business is business, I guess. Money talks, as they say. Shame, though, when money gets in the way of things. Makes you wonder if it’s all worth it. All that fuss, all that heartache, just for a game.
So, that’s the story, as best as I can tell ya. A whole lot of ups and downs, tears and triumphs, this Freddie Freeman fella has been through it all. He’s had his share of troubles, that’s for sure. But he’s a tough one, you can see that. He’ll bounce back, I betcha. He’ll be alright in the end.
Just gotta keep on keepin’ on, that’s what life’s all about, ain’t it? Whether you’re a fancy baseball player or just a regular Joe, you gotta take the good with the bad, and keep on movin’ forward. That’s what Freddie’s doin’, and that’s what we all gotta do.
And you know, sometimes I think these fellas, they just like us ordinary folks. They got their problems, their worries, their joys and sorrows. Just ’cause they’re on TV don’t make ’em any different. They’re just people, tryin’ to make their way in the world, same as everyone else.
