Alright, let’s talk about this Bryan De La Cruz fella. Folks keep jabberin’ ’bout him, so I figured I’d take a look-see myself. Don’t know much about these fancy baseball numbers, but I can tell you what I reckon.
Now, they say he’s been playin’ for some teams, the Marlins and the Pirates, somethin’ like that. Sounds like he’s been around the block a time or two. Been playin’ for, what, four seasons? That’s a good long while, I guess. Means he ain’t no spring chicken, but he’s still out there swingin’ that bat.
What’s This Batting Average Thing?
Heard tell of this “battin’ average” thing. Seems like it’s important. They say his is around .254, or maybe .253, or even .256 dependin’ on who you’re listenin’ to. Sounds like he hits the ball okay, not great, not terrible, just…okay. Figure it’s like hittin’ the target one outta four times, somethin’ like that. Could be worse, I s’pose. Not everyone can be a hero every time, right?
- He’s got hits, lots of ’em. Over 400, they say. That’s a whole heap of hits if you ask me. Must be doin’ somethin’ right.
- And home runs? Yeah, he’s got a bunch of those too. 50-something, last I heard. That’s when you hit the ball real far, right? Like knockin’ it clean outta the park. Must be a strong fella.
Played for Different Teams
This boy’s been movin’ around, seems like. Started with the Astros, then went to the Marlins, now he’s with the Pirates. Don’t know why he keeps changin’ teams, but that’s his business, I reckon. Maybe he’s lookin’ for a better place to play, or maybe they just don’t want him no more. Who knows?
Heard tell of somethin’ called the DSL Astros Orange and DSL Astros Blue. Sound like fancy kid teams to me. Guess everyone starts somewhere, even these big-shot baseball players.
Game-Tying Doubles and Such
They say he tied a game once with a “double.” Don’t rightly know what that is, but it sounds important. Guess he hit the ball real good that time and got some fellas runnin’ around the bases. Good for him, I say. Nothin’ like a good hit to get folks excited.
And these folks at ESPN, they keep track of all his stats, every game. Must be a lot of numbers to write down. They even say who he’s playin’ against. Guess that’s important too, knowin’ who you’re up against. But to me, it’s just a bunch of names and numbers, if I’m bein’ honest.
So, What’s the Verdict?
So, what do I think of this Bryan De La Cruz? Well, he seems like a decent fella, plays baseball pretty good. Hits the ball okay, gets some home runs, and been around for a while. Ain’t no superstar, maybe, but he’s out there tryin’ his best. And that’s all you can ask for, ain’t it?
More Than Just Numbers
You know, all these numbers and stats, they don’t tell the whole story. There’s more to a fella than just how many times he hits the ball. It’s about heart, and grit, and stickin’ with it, even when things get tough. Don’t know if Bryan De La Cruz has that, but I hope he does. ‘Cause that’s what really matters in the end, don’t you think?
He Keeps on Playing
Anyway, that’s my two cents on this Bryan De La Cruz fella. He’s a baseball player, plays for the Pirates now, and he hits the ball alright. Nothin’ too fancy, but he’s still playin’, and that’s somethin’. Maybe he’ll get better, maybe he won’t. Only time will tell, I guess.
Just a Regular Player, Doing His Job
So yeah, Bryan De La Cruz. Just a regular baseball player, doin’ his job. Nothin’ more, nothin’ less. And that’s just fine by me.
