Alright, listen up, y’all. Tonight, we got this thing called WWE SmackDown, and I’m gonna tell ya what’s what, the best I can. Don’t expect no fancy talk, just plain speakin’.
So, first off, this Cody Rhodes fella, he’s gonna start the whole shebang. Kick it off, they say. I reckon he’s a big deal, always struttin’ around. And they got themselves a tag team championship match too. Tag team, that means two fellas fightin’ together, like a pair of ol’ workhorses.
Now, this SmackDown thing, it’s on TV. You can watch it at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. That’s, uh… well, it’s when the sun starts goin’ down, but not too late. If you’re in them other time zones, you gotta figure it out yourself. They say you can watch it on somethin’ called USA Network, or maybe Fubo TV, Peacock, YouTube TV, DirecTV, and Hulu+ Live TV. Sounds like a whole lotta channels to me. If you’re over in India, they got it too, but at some ungodly hour in the mornin’, 6:30 AM they say.
They’re gonna be at this place called the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Sounds fancy, but it’s just a big building, I reckon. Probably got lots of seats and bright lights. They say they sold a bunch of tickets, but I ain’t countin’ ’em.
- They got this tournament goin’ on, for the women. Women’s United States Tournament, they call it. Semifinals tonight, which means they’re gettin’ closer to the end. Gonna be some tough gals fightin’, I bet.
- And this whole thing is buildin’ up to somethin’ bigger, called Survivor Series: WarGames. Sounds like a whole lotta trouble to me. They say there’s gonna be “major appearances,” which means some important folks showin’ up. And maybe some brawls too, who knows?
Last week, this Cody Rhodes fella, he fought Chad Gable and won. But then Kevin Owens, he jumped in and started a fight. So, I guess there’s some bad blood there. Maybe they’ll fight again tonight, maybe not. These wrestlers, they’re always scrappin’.
They say WWE is makin’ their “final statements” before some other event called Saturday Night Main Event. Sounds like they’re tryin’ to get everyone all riled up. They got this Women’s U.S. Title thing goin’ on too, like I said before. Lots of fightin’, that’s for sure.
They got these shows all the time, see. Monday Night Raw, that’s another one. And somethin’ called NXT on Tuesdays. These folks are always wrestlin’. SmackDown started way back in 1999, they say. Been goin’ on for a long time, I guess.
So, that’s the gist of it. Cody Rhodes, tag teams, women fightin’, and a whole lotta build-up for somethin’ bigger. It’s all gonna be on TV tonight, so you can watch it if you want. Me? I might just stick to my stories, but I figured I’d tell ya what’s what, the best I could. Don’t expect me to remember all them fancy names and times though. It’s just a bunch of folks fightin’, as far as I can tell.
Just tune in and watch them fellas and gals duke it out, that’s all there is to it. It’s just good ol’ fashioned rasslin’, nothin’ more, nothin’ less.
