Alright, let’s talk about this Kadarius Toney rookie card thing. I don’t know much about fancy football cards, but I heard folks are buyin’ and sellin’ ’em, so let’s see what all the fuss is about. Sounds like there’s a bunch of different ones, like that Flawless Rookie Debut Signatures card, a real shiny one they call Sapphire. Heard it’s kinda rare, only ten of ’em made.
Then you got yer Donruss cards, looks like they made a whole bunch of them. Some are cheap, like a quarter or fifty cents, others probably cost more, I reckon. Donruss Optic, Donruss Elite, all them fancy names, makes my head spin. They got blue ones, gold ones, all sorts of colors. Sounds like a rainbow exploded on a football field, if you ask me.
- 2021 Donruss #264 Kadarius Toney – Seems like a common one, cheap as dirt.
- 2021 Donruss Elite Series Rookies #14 Kadarius Toney – A bit fancier, maybe? Still not breakin’ the bank.
- 2021 Donruss Optic #212 Kadarius Toney – Shiny, I bet. Probably costs a bit more than the regular Donruss.
- 2021 Donruss Optic Blue – Blue is purdy, folks like purdy things, so it might be worth somethin’.
And don’t forget them Clearly Donruss cards, the ones they call “Clearly Rated Rookie Autographs.” Sounds highfalutin, doesn’t it? They got a Holo Gold one too, shiny and gold, like somethin’ a king would wear. I bet those are expensive, the kind rich folks buy. Makes ya wonder who’s got all that money to spend on cards, but hey, to each their own, I always say.
Then there’s the Contenders Rookie of the Year card, looks like they got a special one for Kadarius. I guess he did somethin’ special to get his own card like that. Folks really like this player, huh? All these cards, it’s a whole heap of ’em. I heard they call it a “complete card checklist.” Sounds like somethin’ you’d take to the grocery store, not somethin’ for football cards. But then again, what do I know? I’m just an old woman tryin’ to make sense of all this.
Now, where do you even find these cards? Sounds like you can buy ’em from different places. Some website called “comc” and somethin’ called “Arena Club.” Sounds fancy, like a place where rich folks hang out. I bet they charge an arm and a leg for them cards. You probably gotta haggle with them fellas, just like at the flea market. Tell ’em the card ain’t worth that much, and maybe you can get a good deal. Or maybe you just gotta bite the bullet and pay what they ask, if you really want that shiny piece of cardboard.
Price guide, they call it. Like a book tellin’ you how much each card is worth. Sounds like a lot of work to keep track of all that. I bet them prices change all the time, too. One day it’s worth a dollar, the next day it’s worth ten. It’s all a gamble, if you ask me. Like playin’ the lottery, but with football players instead of numbers.
And what’s this about PSA 10 condition? Sounds like they grade the cards, like eggs or somethin’. The better the condition, the more it’s worth, I guess. Makes sense, I suppose. Nobody wants a beat-up, torn-up card. They want it shiny and new, like it just came off the press. So if you got one of them Kadarius Toney cards in good condition, you might be sittin’ on a gold mine. Or maybe just a couple of extra bucks, who knows?
So, there you have it. That’s all I know about this Kadarius Toney rookie card business. It’s a whole lotta cards, a whole lotta prices, and a whole lotta confusion for an old woman like me. But hey, if folks are havin’ fun collectin’ ’em, more power to ’em. Just don’t go spendin’ your life savings on a piece of cardboard, ya hear? There’s more important things in life than football cards, like family, friends, and a good plate of biscuits and gravy.
And that’s the truth, whether you believe it or not.
