Well, hello there! Let’s talk about them walkin’ thingies, them… uh… walkin’ mauso-whatchamacallits. Yeah, walking mausoleum locations. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But it ain’t, not really. Just big ol’ stone things walkin’ around.
Now, I heard tell there’s seven of ’em in that Elden Ring place. Seven! Can you believe it? Big as houses, they are. And they ain’t wanderin’ all over the place like you’d think. They got their spots, they do. Like them two stuck together in that… Mausoleum Compound, they call it. Stuck like two peas in a pod, them two.
One of the first ones you might stumble on is down south, past that Stormveil castle. In the Weeping Peninsula, they say. You gotta watch out though, them places are full of nasty critters. Spiders big as yer head, I tell ya!
- So, first one, Weeping Peninsula, south of Limgrave. Got it?
- Then there’s them two in the Mausoleum Compound. That’s two for the price of one, almost.
Now, what do these walkin’ things do, you ask? Well, they ain’t just for show, that’s for sure. They got somethin’ to do with them… remember-somethings. Yeah, Remembrances. Fancy word for… well, I don’t rightly know what it means, but it’s important, see?
Some of them walkin’ things, they got bells. And if they got bells, they can do special remember-somethings. Them Shardbearer ones, they call ’em. But if they ain’t got no bells, they can still do the regular ones. Makes sense, right? Like, if you ain’t got no sugar, you can’t make sweet tea, but you can still make plain tea. See?
And get this, you can use them remember-somethings even if you already used ‘em! It’s like… like findin’ a lost dollar in yer pocket even after you spent all yer money. A nice surprise, it is.
Now, how do you get them walkin’ things to work for ya? Well, you gotta climb, see? Climb up them trees, them branches. Like a squirrel, you gotta be. And then you gotta knock off some… skull thingies. Yeah, them skulls all stuck together. Get rid of them, and the walkin’ thing will plop down, ready to do its thing.
Them Mausoleum Compound ones, though, they’re a bit trickier to get to. You gotta go south from that Frenzied Flame Village, or north from the Church of Vows. Sounds like a long walk, either way. My old bones ain’t up for that, no sirree.
Oh, and there’s this other thing. Up north, by a dead tree stump, you can find some… ashes. Mausoleum Soldier Ashes, they call ‘em. I don’t know what they do, but they sound important. Maybe they help you fight, or maybe they just make yer house smell nice. Who knows?
So, let’s recap, shall we? Seven walkin’ mausoleum thingies. Some with bells, some without. You gotta climb and knock off skulls to get ‘em to work. And they let you use them remember-somethings again. And there’s them two in that Compound place, and one down in the Weeping place. And ashes somewhere up north. Got it all straight? Good. Now, go on and find them walkin’ things. But be careful out there, ya hear? It’s a dangerous world.
And remember, if you see a spider big as yer head, just run! Don’t try to be no hero. Heroes end up dead. And dead ain’t no fun.
That’s all I know about them walking mausoleum locations. Hope it helps ya out. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talkin’ made me hungry.
