Alright, let’s gab about this Njoku fella and that Pitts guy, you know, for that fantasy football thing my grandson’s always yappin’ about. He says it’s important, so I figured I’d try to make some sense of it. Don’t know much about these city boys, but I can tell ya what I heard.
Njoku, that fella seems kinda popular. They say he’s been gettin’ the ball thrown his way a whole bunch lately, like 30 times in the last two games or somethin’. And he even caught the ball and ran it in for those touchdowns three times! My grandson says that’s good, real good. He’s scorin’ all them fantasy points, whatever those are. Heard he’s averagin’ somethin’ like 21.7 of ’em each game. Sounds like a lot to me!
- Heard somethin’ about him playin’ with some fella named Jameis Winston at quarterback, but I ain’t got a clue who that is. Guess it’s important though.
- Seems like some folks are sayin’ he’s one of the best tight end fellas for this Week 10 thing. But then they say he and another fella, Brock Bowers, ain’t playin’ this week ‘cause of some “bye” somethin’ or other. Confusin’, I tell ya.
Now, this Pitts fella, I ain’t heard as much about him. They keep comparin’ him to Njoku, though. Seems like folks are always tryin’ to figure out which one’s better for their fantasy teams. My grandson’s always lookin’ at these “projections” and “rankings.” Guess that’s how you city folk decide who to pick. He’s always fiddlin’ with his phone, lookin’ at all them numbers. Makes my head spin.
They keep talkin’ about “PPR” projections. Don’t ask me what that means, but it seems important for pickin’ between these two. They say Njoku’s projected to do somethin’ or other, but I can’t remember what. Just gotta make sure both fellas are healthy and actually playin’ in the game, that’s what they say. Sounds like common sense to me, you don’t play you don’t get no points, right?
They also mentioned some other fella, Thielen, I think his name was. Said he’s been doin’ real well lately, maybe even better than these two. But I ain’t supposed to be talkin’ about him, just Njoku and Pitts. My grandson said to focus, said I get distracted too easy.
This whole fantasy football thing is a real head-scratcher. All these numbers and projections, it’s enough to make a body go cross-eyed. Back in my day, we just watched the game and cheered for our team. None of this fancy computer stuff. But I guess it keeps the young’uns entertained, so who am I to judge?
So, who’s better, Njoku or Pitts? Well, from what I can gather, Njoku seems to be the hotshot right now, gettin’ all them balls and scorin’ touchdowns. But Pitts might be a good choice too, depends on who you ask and what them projections say. Like I said, gotta make sure they’re both playin’ and healthy. And who knows, maybe Thielen is the real deal, even if I ain’t supposed to say nothin’ about him.
I tell ya, this is harder than churnin’ butter on a hot day. But I tried my best to make some sense of it. Hope it helps you figure out who to pick for your team, or whatever it is you do with these fellas. Maybe next time, my grandson can explain it a little better. Or maybe I’ll just stick to watchin’ the actual games, that’s more my speed. At least I know what’s going on then. These young fellas with their fancy rules and numbers, they make things too complicated.
Remember to check the news, they say, to make sure everybody’s playin’. And don’t forget about that “PPR” thing, whatever that is. And if you’re really stuck, just flip a coin, that’s what I always say. Sometimes it’s the best way to make a decision, less thinkin’ involved. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about football has made me hungry.
Anyways, good luck with your fantasy team, or whatever it is. Hope you pick the right fella and win all them points. Just remember, it’s just a game, no need to get your feathers ruffled. And if you don’t win, well, there’s always next week. That’s what my grandson tells me, at least.
