Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here “Aurora CS:GO,” whatever that means. Sounds fancy, like somethin’ them city folks yap about. But from what I gather, it’s got somethin’ to do with them computer games the youngsters are always playin’.
What’s this Aurora thing all about then?
Seems like it’s a bunch of young’uns, a team they call it, playin’ this here “Counter-Strike” game. I ain’t never seen it myself, but my grandson, he’s always glued to that screen, clickin’ and shoutin’. Says it’s about shootin’ and strategizin’, whatever that is. This “Aurora” bunch, they got a whole mess of fellas playin’ together.
- They got this “delus1onn” fella, sounds like a troublemaker if you ask me.
- And a “KaiR0N-,” probably named after some newfangled machine.
- Then there’s “Lack1” and “RAiLWAY,” city names, I bet.
- And a “sugaR” too? My, my, they givin’ these boys all sorts of nicknames these days.
They even got a coach, a fella named “starix” and another one called “bullet.” Coachin’ ’em to shoot better, I reckon. These Aurora fellas, they seem to be changin’ all the time, addin’ new youngsters and gettin’ rid of old ones. Like this “SELLTER” fella they just signed up. Nineteen years old, barely a man! And then there’s this “podi” fella, some hotshot shooter from Finland, they say. Comin’ over to join the main team, makin’ a big fuss.

This “Counter-Strike,” it sounds like a whole lotta fuss over nothin’. My grandson tells me they got teams of five fellas, shootin’ at each other. Thirty rounds they play, best of the bunch wins. Sounds like a whole lotta sittin’ around to me. Back in my day, if you wanted to shoot somethin’, you went out huntin’. Didn’t need no fancy computer screen and clicky buttons.
But these young’uns, they seem to like it. This Aurora team, they’re always competin’ in somethin’ called “tournaments.” Big deals they are, with lots of other teams fightin’ for the top spot. Seems like this Aurora bunch is doin’ alright, though. Always hearin’ about ’em bein’ ranked high and whatnot. This “Team Spirit” they’re always yappin’ about, that’s another one. Ranked high, just like Aurora. Full of youngsters, I tell ya.

And get this, Aurora, they got a whole ‘nother team, a baby team they call it. “Aurora Young Blud,” or somethin’ like that. Trainin’ up the next batch of clicky-button shooters, I guess. It’s a whole business, this “esports” they call it. Big money in it, apparently. Folks watchin’ these youngsters play on their computers, just like they watch the baseball games on the television. Crazy, if you ask me.

Now they’re talkin’ about “CS2,” not just plain old “CS:GO” no more. Sounds like the same game to me, just with a new number slapped on it. These game makers, they’re always tryin’ to sell you somethin’ new, ain’t they? But these Aurora fellas, they keep on playin’, no matter what they call the game. Clickin’ and shoutin’, that’s all they do. Well, and strategizin’ too, I guess. Gotta be smart to win, even if it’s just a computer game.
It’s all just a bunch of hootin’ and hollerin’ to me.
So there you have it, what I know about this “Aurora CS:GO.” A bunch of youngsters shootin’ at each other on a computer screen, gettin’ all excited about it. Not my cup of tea, but hey, to each their own, right? At least they ain’t out causin’ trouble, I guess. Just sittin’ and clickin’. Hootin’ and hollerin’ when they win, sulkin’ when they lose. Just like kids, always will be.

And this “Aurora Gaming,” it ain’t just about Counter-Strike neither. They got their fingers in all sorts of pies, they say. Other games, “Dota 2” and “Hearthstone” and such. Even got them playin’ games on them little phones now, “Pubg Mobile” and “Mobile Legends” they call ’em. These youngsters, they just can’t get enough of them screens, I tell ya. But Aurora, they seem to be doin’ alright, winnin’ and losin’, just like life, I reckon. One day you’re up, next day you’re down. That’s just the way it is, whether you’re shootin’ at a computer screen or plantin’ potatoes in the field.

So if you hear someone talkin’ about “Aurora CS:GO,” you’ll know it’s just a bunch of youngsters playin’ a computer game. Nothin’ to get all worked up about. Just kids bein’ kids, clickin’ and shoutin’. And who knows, maybe they’ll even win somethin’ someday, bring home a trophy or a big ol’ check. But to me, it’ll always be just a game, nothin’ more. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I got real work to do. These potatoes ain’t gonna plant themselves, you know.
