That Shane Lowry, he’s a good boy, ain’t he? I heard he done real good at that Masters thing, you know, the golf. My grandson, he watches it all the time. He says Shane’s the best. Says he wants to be just like him. I don’t know much about it, but it sounds fancy.
Heard he played there a couple years back, did real good then too, that Masters. Best he ever did there, I reckon. He ain’t won it yet, though. My grandson was sad about that. He was really rootin’ for him. That Shane Lowry, he plays at that Augusta place. Fancy name, huh? Sounds like some rich folks’ club.
He started good this year, I hear. Real good. Shot a 68, whatever that means. My grandson was all excited, sayin’ Shane was in the top 10 with some fella named Jon Rahm. That’s a strange name, ain’t it? I think Shane Lowry is better. That’s what my grandson says, anyway.
But then, that Shane Lowry, he didn’t win. Said he was disappointed, but he’d be back next year to try again. That’s the spirit, ain’t it? Never give up, that’s what I always say. He wants to be the first Irishman to win that Masters. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds important. Must be a big deal to win at Augusta.
- He played good, though, that Shane. Tied for 16th, I think. That’s good, ain’t it?
- He’s happy with how he’s playin’. Says he wants to be the first Irishman to win the Masters. That’d be somethin’, wouldn’t it?
- He won some other big one before, somethin’ called the Open. Must be a big deal, too.
He won that Open thing, at some place called Royal Portrush. Fancy name. He won a lot of money, that Shane Lowry. Somethin’ about a jug and a bonus. Millions, I hear! Good for him. He works hard, I reckon. All that golfin’ must be tiring. My back hurts just thinkin’ about it.
I heard that Shane Lowry, he really loves that Masters tournament. Says it’s his favorite. He ain’t never won it though. Not yet, anyway. He sure hopes to. That’s the one he really wants. He fell down in the rankings, my grandson said. To 54th! Sounds bad, but he seems to be doin’ better now.
He got a new caddie. He used to have the same one. But they got tired of each other, I reckon. I don’t know much about caddies. My grandson told me, that Shane Lowry, he didn’t know who to get as a new caddie. It all worked out though.
That Shane Lowry, he got a big prize for being 10th in some tour. Two million dollars! And then another big bonus, somethin’ called FedEx. That’s a lot of money, ain’t it? He made over seven million dollars just in America! That’s more money than I ever seen in my life. He’s a good boy, that Shane. Workin’ hard, makin’ money. Hope he wins that Masters soon. My grandson would be so happy. He says Shane Lowry is the best at Augusta.
He had some trouble on the 11th and 12th holes, whatever that means. My grandson explained it to me, but I don’t remember. Somethin’ about a bogey. Sounds bad. But that Shane, he kept playin’. He’s a tough one, that Shane Lowry. He wants that Masters title bad. He’s gonna win it one day, I just know it. He’s gonna make everyone proud, especially my grandson. He’s a good role model, that Shane Lowry. Good at golf, too, I suppose, from what I hear about that Masters and Augusta.
