Well, that Rock fella, he’s a big shot, ain’t he? Lots of folks been askin’, is the rock on smackdown tonight? I hear all the young’uns talkin’ ’bout it down at the market. They all excited about that wrestling thing on the TV.
I seen him on the TV, that Rock. He’s a big fella, all muscle and such. Reminds me of my late husband, bless his soul. He used to be strong like bull before the rheumatism got him. That damn smackdown. I don’t know much about these things, but these young folks like it.
So, is he gonna be on tonight? That’s what everyone’s wonderin’. They say he’s usually on Friday nights, that smackdown show. Somethin’ about a Bad Blood somethin’ or other. I don’t keep up with all that. These you young folks can tell me.
I heard some folks sayin’ he ain’t gonna be there tonight, that Rock fella. Something about missin’ some big WrestleMania thing next year, too. I don’t know what that all means. Sounds like a lot of hoopla to me.

- It’s live, they say, whatever that means. Like it’s happening right then and there.

They was sayin’ somethin’ about Boulder and Denver. That’s a place where they do the show, ain’t it? Folsom Field, Ball Arena, sounds like a bunch of places I ain’t never been. Too far for me to go, anyway. I’m too old for that kind of travelin’. These young folks can tell you all about that, I bet. And that Rock fella, he is from some places, far away, isn’t he?
If you wanna watch that SmackDown, it’s on at 8 o’clock, I think. 8 p.m. Eastern, they say. Whatever that means. I just know it’s 8 o’clock somewhere. My old clock don’t tell me ’bout no Eastern time. That WWE SmackDown, lots of young folks watch that.
All this talk about that Rock and SmackDown. Makes my head spin. I just like to watch my stories. But the young’uns, they love that wrestling. They get all riled up about it. They yell and holler like a bunch of wild Indians.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ I don’t like a little excitement. But that SmackDown, it’s a bit much for me. Too much jumpin’ around and yellin’. I prefer a nice cup of tea and a good story. But that Rock, he is something else, these young folks love him. They say, “Is the rock on smackdown tonight?” everywhere.
So, to answer your question, is the rock on smackdown tonight? From what I hear, no, he ain’t. He’s takin’ a break, I reckon. Maybe he’s tired from all that jumpin’ around. Or maybe he’s got other things to do. He’s a busy fella, that Rock.
But don’t you worry, that SmackDown show will still be on. There are other fellas, I suppose. And that Rock will be back some other time, I guess. They always come back, don’t they? Just like my old rooster, always comin’ back to the henhouse.
Anyways, that’s all I know about that Rock and SmackDown. It is not very important, I think. But I hope you young’uns enjoy your wrestling. Just don’t go jumpin’ around too much. You might hurt yourselves. And don’t forget your chores, like this old lady!
