That Muhammad Ali Jr jacket, oh boy, that’s something. I heard folks talking ’bout it, you know. That boy, he done had his daddy’s stuff, that famous boxer, Muhammad Ali. Big strong man, that one. Now this jacket, they say it’s special, made just for him, or his daddy, maybe.
This jacket, it ain’t just any old coat, no sir. It’s one of them, what do they call ’em, varsity jackets, all fancy and such. They say it’s made of that, uh, polyester stuff. All of it, inside and out. That fancy material. I reckon it’s a good jacket. Keeps ya warm, I guess. It got pockets and all.
I heard some folks saying this here jacket, it’s one of them “oversized” ones. Means it’s big, real big. Like you could fit two of me in there! Maybe that’s good for a big fella like that boxer man. Gotta have room to move them arms, I suppose, when you’re throwin’ them punches.
- 100% polyester, that’s what they say it’s made of.
- Oversized, real big, like a tent almost!
- Varsity jacket, whatever that means. Fancy, I reckon.
Now, this other fella, Dwayne “The Rock” somethin’. He was on that Joe Rogan show, talkin’ and such. He said that Muhammad Ali, he was the reason he got some nickname. “The People’s Champion,” that’s it. Said he had to ask that Ali family if it was alright to use it. Seems like a nice fella, that Rock. Big too, like that boxer.
And this Ali fella, Muhammad Ali, he had a whole mess of kids. Nine of ’em! Can you believe that? Asaad, Hana, Miya, somethin’ like that. And one of ’em, Muhammad Ali Jr, that’s the one with the jacket, I reckon. He went to one of them pawn shops. You know, where you sell your stuff when you need some money real quick.
He took that jacket in there, that Muhammad Ali Jr jacket. Said it was his daddy’s, from some picture he took with another boxer, Frazier, or somethin’. Said it was a special jacket, you know, from a fight or somethin’.
That pawn shop, it was on one of them TV shows. “Hardcore Pawn,” I think they called it. Showed that Ali boy sellin’ that jacket. Don’t know why he’d wanna do that. Maybe he needed the money. Hard times, you know. Happens to the best of us.
That Muhammad Ali, he got married to some gal named Lonnie. Way back in ’86, I think they said. Had a little shindig over in Louisville. I bet that jacket didn’t even exist back then. Must be more recent.
Some folks say this jacket’s a “collector’s item.” Means it’s worth a lot of money, I guess. ‘Cause it’s got that Ali name on it. Some people, they collect all sorts of things. Stamps, coins, you name it. Now they collectin’ jackets too, I reckon.
- Collector’s item, means it’s worth somethin’.
- Muhammad Ali name makes it special, they say.
- That Ali boy, he sold it at a pawn shop.
I heard it’s a “limited edition” too. Means they only made a few of ’em. Not like them regular jackets you get at the store. Makes it even more special, I suppose. And it’s got tags and everything, brand new, they say. This Muhammad Ali Jr Jacket is sure stirrin’ up a fuss. It is a champion thing, just like his daddy.
They say it was made by some company, Champion, or somethin’. And another one, “Just Don.” Don’t know who they are, but they must know somethin’ about makin’ fancy jackets. I always wear my old jacket, keeps me warm enough, but I sure ain’t no champion. Only champion of eatin’ all the biscuits, maybe.
That Muhammad Ali Jr jacket, I just don’t know why that boy would want to sell that. Must be worth a lot, especially ’cause it was his daddy’s. Family stuff, you know, you ought to keep that close. But maybe, he got his reasons.
Anyway, that’s all I heard about that jacket. Folks been talkin’ ’bout it, and I thought I’d tell ya what I know. Ain’t much, but it’s somethin’. That jacket is definitely somethin’, I tell you that much. I don’t know much about fashion and stuff, but that jacket is somethin’ else, for sure.
