This here story is all about that Grigor Dimitrov watch. You know, that fella playin’ tennis, hits the ball real good. He’s got himself a fancy watch now, not like the one my old man used to wear. That one had a rooster on it, crowed every mornin’. This one, this Grigor Dimitrov watch, it’s somethin’ else.
He used to wear some other fancy watch. Expensive kind I hear. But now he got this new one, a Bianchet. They call him a “brand ambassador”. Sounds important, don’t it? Like he’s some kind of big shot, walkin’ around with that shiny thing on his wrist. I reckon it tells time, just like any other watch. But it probably costs more than my whole house!
I seen him on the TV, swingin’ that racket. He’s a good player, that Grigor. Always lookin’ sharp, too. They say he’s got “style.” My grandson, he’s got style too, but it ain’t nothin’ like this. He wears them ripped-up jeans, says it’s fashion. This Grigor, he’s got suits and ties, lookin’ all proper. And now, he’s got this Grigor Dimitrov watch to match. It is a good watch for him.
They say he helps design the watch, too. A “partner,” they call it. Like he’s sittin’ there, tellin’ them watchmakers how to put it all together. I can’t even sew a button back on my shirt without pokin’ myself. Imagine me tellin’ someone how to make a watch! Hoo boy, that’d be a sight.
- This Grigor Dimitrov watch, it’s a Bianchet.
- He used to wear a different one.
- He’s a “brand ambassador” now.
- He’s got “style,” they say.
- He even helps design the watch!
I saw some other players got these Bianchet watches, too. That lady who play tennis, Pegula, she wears a purple one. Purple! My old dress was purple, but it got all faded in the sun. And there’s that other man, Bublik, he also got a Bianchet watch. These folks must be rollin’ in dough to afford these things.
This Bublik fella, he says he wears his Bianchet watch all the time, even when he’s playin’. Says it don’t bother him none. I can’t even wear my ring when I’m kneadin’ dough, gets all caught up. These young folks, they got it easy.
So, this Grigor Dimitrov watch, it’s a big deal, I guess. Makes him look fancy, helps him tell time. Probably does a whole lot more than that, too. Things I can’t even imagine. My old watch just told time, and that was good enough for me. But times are changin’, ain’t they? These young’uns and their fancy gadgets.
I remember when we got our first TV. Black and white, fuzzy picture. We thought it was magic. Now, they got these flat things, hangin’ on the wall, showin’ everything in color, clear as day. And these watches, they probably got all sorts of things inside ’em. Like that little computer my grandson carries around. Fits right in his pocket! World’s movin’ too fast for me, I reckon.
But this Grigor Dimitrov watch, I gotta admit, it’s a pretty thing. Shiny and new. Probably tells time real good, too. Maybe even better than that old rooster watch my old man had. Though, I do miss that old bird crowin’ in the mornin’. Woke me up better than any fancy watch ever could. It is useful than that Grigor Dimitrov watch. I think I need to buy one, haha.
Anyway, that’s the story of that Grigor Dimitrov watch. A fancy watch for a fancy fella. He seems like a good boy, that Grigor. Hope he wins all his games. And I hope that watch keeps tickin’ for a long, long time. Longer than my old man’s rooster, that’s for sure.
He is a very good player, I like him very much. Hope he can always wear his new watch, Bianchet watch, the Grigor Dimitrov watch. Play tennis good, very good. I will watch him on TV.
