Well, let me tell you somethin’ about that Eddie Guerrero, the wrestler fella. That boy, he was somethin’ else. I remember hearin’ about him, how he became a big shot wrestler. They say he won some big ol’ championship, WWE Championship, I think they called it. He was real good, that Eddie. He was on top of the world, they said.
But you know, life, it’s got its ups and downs. That Eddie, he lost that big title after a while. Didn’t stop folks from lovin’ him, though. They still thought he was the best, and I reckon he probably was. He was all over the TV, wrestlin’ and carryin’ on. One day he is up, the other day he is down, just like that, you know?
Then, one day, somethin’ terrible happened. It was back in, uh, 2005. November 13th, I believe it was. They found poor Eddie unconscious. Just like that. Gone too soon, that boy. Breaks your heart, it really does.
His nephew, Chavo, bless his heart, he found Eddie in a bad way. They say he was in a hotel room, up in Minneapolis. That’s a far piece from here, let me tell you. Chavo, he tried to help, tried to wake him up and tried to save him, but it weren’t no use.
- Eddie Guerrero, he was a big star.
- He won the big WWE Championship.
- He lost it, but folks still loved him.
- Then he was found unconscious in a hotel room.
- His nephew Chavo tried to help, but it was too late.
They say Eddie had a special way of doing things. They call it his style. Made him different from all them other wrestlers. Folks loved watchin’ him. He did things on the ring that nobody else could. They say he could have been a champion many more times. That is really somethin’, huh?
He had some saying, somethin’ about cheatin’ and stealin’. Sounds a bit naughty, don’t it? But I guess that’s just how they talk in that wrestlin’ world. “If you’re not cheating, you’re not trying”, that’s what they say he said. I don’t know about all that, but he sure was popular.
I heard some folks talkin’, sayin’ Eddie was good in the ring, really good. Some fella named JBL, he said Eddie was amazing. Said you couldn’t even tell how good he was just by watchin’ him. Seems like Eddie could wrestle with anyone and make it a good show. There is not many people can do that, you know?
It’s a real shame what happened to him. He was gone too soon. They say it was his heart. Acute heart attack, they called it. Just like that, one minute he’s here, the next he’s gone. Eddie Guerrero unconscious, they found him. It is so sad, you know?
That boy, Eddie, he had his troubles, I reckon. Everyone does, right? But he didn’t hide from them. He faced them head-on, they say. That takes guts, let me tell you. Not everyone can do that.
Eddie’s last match, that was on November 11th, just a couple of days before he passed. They say it was on SmackDown. I don’t know much about all that, but I know it was his last one. Sad, ain’t it? He was really good, I heard. They say it was his heart, you know? He just had a heart attack. In that hotel room, you know? In Minneapolis, his nephew found him like that.
Folks still talk about Eddie, even now. They remember him, how good he was, how much they loved watchin’ him. He was a real legend, they say. One of the best. And you know what? I believe it. That Eddie Guerrero, he was somethin’ special. It’s a shame he’s gone, but folks won’t forget him. Not for a long, long time. It was in 2005, yeah, November. He was a good one. That Eddie Guerrero unconscious, it’s just a sad, sad thing. A real shame.
