Well, let me tell you, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout how much them wrestlers get paid. It’s a sight, I tell ya. Them young’uns, they get all rough and tumble, and for what? A good chunk of change, that’s what!
I heard some of ’em, the ones just startin’ out, maybe not on the big, big shows, they’re gettin’ at least, now hold onto your hats, $350,000! Can you believe it? $350,000 just to wrestle! Back in my day, we didn’t have that kinda money for rollin’ around.
Now, them big WWE wrestlers, them’s the ones you see on the TV all the time. They’re makin’ the real dough. I heard someone say they’re gettin’ even more now with all them newfangled ways of watchin’ things, all them streamin’ deals. They have to make a livin’, I reckon, but it sure is a lot of money.

I heard some names gettin’ tossed around, like this Brock Lesnar fella, and some Roman Reigns and a Seth Rollins. They say those boys, they’re swimmin’ in money. And some Logan Paul, whoever that is. Must be nice, huh? To be able to make that much money just from wrestlin’. It’s a different world these days, I tell ya.
I seen some other numbers, too. Some other wrestlin’ group, TNA, I think they called it. Those folks ain’t doin’ too bad, neither. I saw somethin’ sayin’ the lowest was ’bout $67,000 a year, and the highest was near $83,000. Still a lot of money for jumpin’ around in them little shorts.
And then there’s this other one, OVW, I think. Not as much as the others, but still, they say some make about $46,500. Lord have mercy, that’s a lot of money for a young fella.
I don’t know all the ins and outs of it, but it seems like if you’re good at that wrestlin’ thing, and you get yourself on the TV, you can make a pretty good livin’. It ain’t like the old days, that’s for sure. Used to be, you’d be lucky to get a hot meal and a place to sleep after a show. Now they’re makin’ more money than some doctors and lawyers!
Now, I ain’t sayin’ it’s easy money. I see them boys gettin’ slammed around, and it looks like it hurts somethin’ fierce. But still, for that kind of money, I reckon a lot of folks would be willin’ to take a few bumps and bruises. It’s a tough way to make a buck, but a good buck at that. They even say that $250,000 is like average.
Back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy wrestling on the TV. We had to go down to the local hall if we wanted to see a show. And the wrestlers, they weren’t makin’ millions. They were just doin’ it ’cause they loved it. It’s different now, I guess. Everything’s about the money these days.
But I guess that’s just the way of the world. If you can find somethin’ you’re good at, and people are willin’ to pay you good money for it, then more power to ya. And these wrestlers, they’re good at what they do, that’s for sure. They put on a good show, and people love it. So I guess they deserve to get paid well. More than $350,000!
Still, it’s hard for an old-timer like me to wrap my head around it. All that money, just for wrestlin’. It’s a crazy world we live in, ain’t it? But hey, as long as they’re happy, and they ain’t hurtin’ nobody, then I guess it’s all good. But it’s a lot of money for a young person.
I remember one time, many years ago, I saw a wrestlin’ match. One of the guys was very good, but he hurt his leg. I hope he made some money back then. He sure deserved it.
Wrestlers are also always travelin’, I guess. It’s like they never stop. I guess they get used to it.
It’s all very interestin’, I must say. I never thought about how much they make. I wonder how much they used to make back in the day. Probably not a lot, compared to now.
It’s just interestin’ how times change. Now, these wrestlers are big stars, like them movie stars. People know their names, follow them around. Crazy, ain’t it?
