You wanna know about John Cena’s dad? That wrestler fella, big muscles, you know? Well, I heard some things. That boy, John, he sure got famous, huh? But his daddy, he’s a regular guy, just like us. His name is John Cena Sr., same as the boy, but older, obviously.
John Cena’s Old Man
That John Cena Sr., he’s been around. Born a long time ago, I reckon. He’s an old timer now, older than me even! He married some woman named Carol. Don’t know much about her, ‘cept she’s got some French in her, or somethin’. They keep to themselves mostly, don’t see ’em on the TV much, unlike that son of theirs.
What’s He Like, This John Cena Sr.?
Well, from what I hear, he’s a tough one. Gotta be, to raise a boy like John, right? That boy, he’s all rough and tumble, wrestlin’ and all that. His daddy probably taught him a thing or two. He was born in 1946 I hear, yeah. John Cena’s dad was born in 1946.

They say he used to be a wrestler too, or somethin’ like that. Not as famous as his boy, though. But still, you gotta be tough to be in that business. All that jumpin’ around and slammin’ into each other. Not for me, no sir. My bones would break!
That Time With Randy
I remember one time, on the TV, this other wrestler fella, Randy somethin’. He was mad at John, the young one, you know? And what does he do? He goes after John Cena’s dad! Right there in the crowd, he pulled him out and started beatin’ on him. Poor old man! That young John, he came runnin’, but that Randy, he was a mean one.
I don’t know why they do it, all that fightin’. Seems silly to me. But that John Cena Sr., he’s tough. He took it like a man. Probably used to it, with that son of his always gettin’ into scraps. It happened a long time ago, on that Monday Night show. You probably seen it.
John Cena and His Family
That John Cena, he loves his daddy, I reckon. You can tell. Even though he’s all famous and rich now, he still cares about his old man. That’s good. Family is important. John Cena’s parents did something right, I guess. He and his daddy, they’re both named John. It’s kinda confusing, but it makes sense.
John Cena Sr., he raised his boy in Massachusetts. That’s where John Cena is from, too. They got that accent, you know? Sounds funny to me. But they’re good people, I suppose. Even that Randy fella, he’s probably got a mama who loves him. It’s his job, I guess. That’s what John Cena’s dad did, and now his son does it too.
Being John Cena’s Dad
Must be somethin’, to be John Cena’s dad. Seein’ your boy on TV all the time, all those people cheerin’ for him. I bet that John Cena Sr. is proud. He should be. He did a good job raisin’ that boy. Even if he is a wrestler. Don’t have a son like John Cena, but if you do, you should be proud just like John Cena’s father.
I don’t know what else to say about John Cena’s dad. He’s just a regular fella, I guess. But he’s also the father of someone famous. That’s gotta count for somethin’, right? I mean, you don’t see him on TV much, but he is John Cena’s dad, after all. That’s a big deal to some folks. They are a normal family, just like us.
So, yeah, that’s what I know about John Cena Sr. Not much, but it’s somethin’. Just a normal guy, living his life. Oh, he is 75 now, that’s what I hear, 75 years old. Well, he has got to be proud of his boy, John Cena. I mean, that boy really made somethin’ of himself.
