This is Amy, they call her Lita, too, oh that girl, she’s something else.
She was born way back, April 14, 1975, I reckon. Amy Christine Dumas, that’s her full name, but everyone just knows her as Lita. She wrestled, you know, in that WWE. Yeah, she was a big shot there, even got put in their Hall of Fame, ain’t that somethin’?
Wrestling Days
That Lita, she could wrestle, I tell ya. She went down to Mexico, learned all them fancy moves. Then she came back, wrestled all over. ECW, that was one of them, and then she went to the big time, WWE. She was good, that Lita. She really could go, oh she was famous. She was so good, they put her in the Hall of Fame.
She went to this school. Some fella named Dory Funk, Jr., he taught her, along with a whole mess of fellas. I heard there were twenty-three of them, and she was the only girl! Imagine that. Graduated in ’99, I think it was. She could sure handle herself in that ring, that Lita.
- Joined ECW after someone named Paul Heyman, big shot I guess, reached out to her.
- Wrestled four matches there before heading to WWE in 2000.
Love and Drama
Oh, she had her share of drama, too, just like on them soap operas. There was this one fella, Kane, they called him. They pretended she was gonna have his baby on the TV. Can you believe that? They even had a wedding, right there on RAW. That was just for show, though. But they became real good friends, her and Kane. Still are, I hear.
One time on TV they had her getting married to some other wrestler. Oh, it was a big to-do! She even wore a white dress and everything. But you know what? That’s just wrestling for you. It’s all a big show, ain’t it? It is so fake, like them wrestling shows.
Helping Critters
But you know what? That Lita, she’s got a good heart, too. Loves them animals, she does. Started up this thing, A.D.O.R.E., it’s called. Amy Dumas Operation Rescue and Education, that’s what it stands for. She helps all them little critters, finds ’em homes and such. She’s a good egg, that Lita.
She doesn’t wrestle no more, I think she quit. She had a good run, though, didn’t she? Oh, she was famous. Even had her own video, they called it “Lita: It Just Feels Right.” Can you imagine? My goodness, her face was all over that video. They even had some of her matches on there, too.
She also wrote a book. Yeah, she did. A real book, all about her life and everything. “Lita: A Less Traveled R.O.A.D. – The Reality of Amy Dumas,” that’s what they called it. It’s probably a good read, if you’re into that sort of thing. I bet it tells all sorts of stories about her wrestling days and all the people she met.
What’s She Up To Now?
Now, I don’t know what she’s up to these days. Probably still helping them animals. Maybe she’ll come back to wrestling someday, who knows? They always seem to come back, don’t they? Once a wrestler, always a wrestler.
Anyways, that Lita, she was somethin’ else. A real firecracker, that one. She sure made a name for herself, didn’t she? Wrestling, helping animals, writing books, she did it all. Good for her, I say. Good for her. And she had that name, you know, Lita. Everyone knew who she was when they heard that name. Yep, Amy Christine Dumas, that Lita, she was a big deal, all right. She got that Hall of Fame thing, and she was on TV all the time, everyone knew Lita.
She was pretty famous. I heard she was born in Florida, and she did some other things, too. Something about singing and music. I guess she did, that Lita did everything, wrestling, singing, she was good at everything. She was always real nice to the critters. Loved them little animals, she did. They say she was a vegan, too. Don’t eat no meat, none of that. Just the plants and vegetables. Imagine that. I like my meatloaf too much to be giving that up. But that was Amy Christine Dumas, she loved them animals and didn’t want to eat them.
I remember seeing her on the TV, all them lights and all the people watching. She sure could put on a show. I bet she misses it sometimes, all that excitement. But she’s probably happy doing what she’s doing. Helping them animals and just living her life, I guess. She has that charity, you know, the A.D.O.R.E. That’s a good thing, helping them animals.
