So, the other day I was messing around with crosswords, ’cause why not, right? And I came across this clue that said “Kermit greeting.” I was like, “Okay, this should be easy, I know Kermit.” But then, I kinda blanked. It’s funny how the brain works sometimes, you know? You think you know something, and then bam! It’s gone.
Anyways, I started digging around. I typed in “kermit’s greeting” into the crossword solver I usually use, and boom, it gave me like 30 possible answers. 30! That’s a lot for a simple greeting. So, I went through a bunch of these crossword solver sites, and most of them were pointing to one answer. I saw it on a result from the Chicago Sun-Times, and another one from Universal, both had the same answer.
- HIHO
And, yep, “HIHO” was the main answer. It makes sense, right? It’s short, it’s four letters, and that’s what those sites were saying. I saw it pop up again on another site that said it was seen on the May 3, 2024 puzzle. Then there was another that mentioned it was spotted like 10 times. So, it’s definitely a popular answer.
Possible Answers
But then, just to be thorough, I checked out a few other answers that came up. There were some other options like:
- GREEN
- ARISE
- HELLO
These were all from different sources, like USA Today and LA Times. But they were only 3% likely, so it wasn’t the main guess. “GREEN” could kinda make sense, since Kermit is, well, green. But it didn’t fit the usual greeting vibe.
So, after all that, I felt pretty confident that “HIHO” was the answer they were looking for. It’s a bit old-school, but it’s definitely something Kermit might say. It’s funny how a simple crossword clue can send you down this little rabbit hole of searching and guessing. But hey, that’s the fun of crosswords, right?
In the end, I wrote down “HIHO” in the puzzle, and it fit perfectly. Case closed! It’s always a good feeling to crack the code, even if it’s something as small as a frog’s greeting.
