Alright, so the other day I was cruising around in Genshin Impact, right? And I was on this mission to track down some Koholasaur Whelps. Yeah, those little guys. Now, I’d heard they were hanging out in the Ameyalco Waters, so that’s where I headed first.
I warped over to the Statue of Seven nearby, and bam, there they were. Just swimming around, no care in the world. I mean, who wouldn’t want to chill in those springs, huh? Anyway, I started rounding them up, and let me tell you, it wasn’t as easy as it looked. These little fellas are fast!
Finding the Whelps
- First Stop: Ameyalco Waters – This is the main spot. I found a bunch of them just swimming around the springs near the Statue of Seven.
- Exploring Around – I did a little exploring around the area, and yup, found some more scattered around. It’s like they own the place or something.
So, I’m chasing these Whelps around, and I realized I needed to switch up my strategy. I mean, I’m all for a good chase, but I had other things to do, you know? That’s when I remembered this little trick about “indwelling” them. Basically, you hold down a button – it’s ‘Q’ on my PC, but it might be different for you – and you can kind of, you know, possess them. It’s a bit weird, but hey, it works. I started practicing it.
Once I got the hang of it, it was a game-changer. I was rounding up those Whelps like a pro. But then I hit a snag. I found this one Whelp that was part of some bigger quest – “A Saurian Lover’s Ordinary Days”, I think it was called. This one was in a room with a Pyroculus, and I needed to capture it to get some hook. Classic Genshin, right? Always something extra.
After I got that hook, I had to attach it to a box and then use another creature – a Yumkasaurus, I believe – to pull it. All of this just to get to the entrance of some place. I swear, sometimes these quests are more trouble than they’re worth. But hey, I got it done.
In the end, I managed to find all the Koholasaur Whelps I needed. It was a bit of a wild goose chase, but that’s what makes it fun, right? Plus, I got to explore a bit more of Natlan, which is always cool. Oh, and I stumbled upon some Yumkasaur Whelps too, but that’s a story for another time.
So yeah, that’s my tale of hunting down Koholasaur Whelps. If you’re planning on doing the same, just be prepared for a bit of a chase, and remember that indwelling trick – it’s a lifesaver. And watch out for those side quests, they can really throw you for a loop!
