Okay, so, let me tell you about this whole Survivor Series thing I got into. It all started when I saw some buzz online about WWE’s big event, Survivor Series: WarGames. I thought, “Why not? Let’s dive in and see what this is all about.”
First off, I needed to figure out how to watch it. Turns out, it was streaming on Peacock. I got that sorted, made sure I was all set up by 6 p.m. ET, because the actual event kicks off at 7 p.m. ET. That’s 4 p.m. for the folks on the West Coast. Easy peasy.
Then, I started looking into what matches were lined up. I read somewhere about this Women’s WarGames match. It had names like Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Iyo Sky, Naomi, and Bayley on one team, and they were up against The Judgment Day, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae. Sounded intense, and I was pretty hyped to see how that would play out.
While digging around, I found out that Survivor Series is a pretty big deal. It’s one of WWE’s longest-running pay-per-view events, right after WrestleMania. And this year, they were bringing back the WarGames match for the third year in a row. I marked my calendar, made some popcorn, and got ready for a night of wrestling.
Getting into the history
Out of curiosity, I also looked up a bit of the history of the Survivor show itself. I stumbled upon some info about the reality TV show, not the wrestling event. It’s wild – apparently, back in 1999, this guy Burnett pitched the idea to Les Moonves at CBS, and boom, they picked it up. The first season, Survivor: Borneo, was filmed in 2000 and became a huge hit. I guess people really love these kinds of shows!
My viewing experience
- Set up the stream: Got Peacock ready, logged in, and made sure my internet was solid.
- Watched the pre-show: Tuned in at 6 p.m. ET to catch the pre-show and get the full experience.
- Enjoyed the main event: Kicked back at 7 p.m. ET and watched all the matches, including the Women’s WarGames.
- Followed up: Planned to watch WWE Raw and Smackdown later in the week to see the aftermath.
So, that was my adventure with the Survivor Series. I got into it, learned a few things, and had a good time watching the matches. It’s always fun to try something new and share the experience. I hope you enjoyed hearing about it!
