I’ve always been curious about how much time I’ve actually spent playing League of Legends. It’s one of those games that just sucks you in, and before you know it, hours have flown by. So, I decided to find out just how deep down the rabbit hole I’d gone.
Figuring It Out
First, I tried looking in the game itself. I remembered seeing something about playtime in there before.
- I launched the game and logged in.
- Then, I clicked around until I found the “stats” tab. It was kind of hidden on the right side.
- Lo and behold, there it was, under my games played, my playtime in days.
Easy enough, right? But it’s kind of vague. Like, is a “day” 8 hours? 12? 24? Plus, I’ve been playing on and off for years, and I wasn’t sure if it was tracking everything. Then I remembered a friend telling me about a website a while back that claimed to calculate your playtime accurately.
The Website Method
I googled around a bit and found a bunch of sites that promised to tell me my wasted time on LoL. I picked one that looked legit, entered my summoner name, and hit “calculate.”
And there it was, in black and white, the horrifying truth of my League of Legends addiction. Turns out, I’ve spent a shameful amount of time in Summoner’s Rift. I won’t share the exact number, but let’s just say it’s enough to make me question some of my life *’s pretty wild to see it all laid out like that. I mean, I knew I played a lot, but seeing the actual number of hours is a whole different story. I guess it’s a good reminder to maybe, you know, touch some grass every once in a while.
It’s kind of funny, though. Even after seeing that number, I don’t really regret it. I’ve had a lot of fun playing League, made some good friends, and even learned a thing or two about teamwork and strategy. So, yeah, maybe I’ve wasted some time, but it hasn’t been all bad. Still, I think I might try to be a bit more mindful of how much I’m playing from now on. Or at least, that’s what I’m telling myself.
