Okay, so I’ve been messing around with these Patrick Mahomes football cards lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a wild ride. I’m not some big-shot collector or anything, but I figured, why not see what these things are all about?
I started off by just poking around online, seeing what was out there. I quickly found that there’s a whole bunch of these cards, and the prices are all over the place. Some are like a couple of bucks, others are way more. I learned that just in the last month, there were about 94 Patrick Mahomes cards traded, and the average price was something like $177. That’s a lot of money for a piece of cardboard, but I guess people really like the guy.
I decided I wasn’t going to go crazy with this, but I did want to get my hands on at least one card. So I started searching for listings, trying to find something that wouldn’t break the bank but was still kind of cool, you know? It took a while, browsing through all sorts of cards, but I eventually found one that seemed decent. I decided to go for it – a 2017 card that was a bit fancy but not too expensive.
While I was waiting for the card to arrive, I did some more digging into this whole football card thing. It’s crazy how much some of these things can go for. Like, I saw that some old Jerry Rice card sold for over $82,000! That’s just insane. I guess Patrick Mahomes is doing pretty well for himself too, with a net worth of like $90 million. He started making $555,000 a year when he was a rookie. Not bad at all, right?
Then I stumbled upon this app called CollX. It’s pretty neat – you just take pictures of your cards, and it tells you how much they’re worth. You can keep track of your collection, see what it’s worth, and even buy and sell cards. I downloaded it and started playing around with it, just for fun. I scanned in the card I bought and it gave me an estimate of its value.
Honestly, this whole experience has been pretty interesting. I’m not sure if I’ll become a serious collector or anything, but it’s cool to learn about this world and see how it all works. It’s amazing how much value these little cards can hold, and how passionate people are about them. I might pick up a few more cards here and there, just to see what else is out there. Who knows, maybe I’ll stumble upon a hidden gem someday!
