Okay, so today I tried to do something I haven’t done in ages – a crossword puzzle. I stumbled upon this clue, “gesturing,” and I thought, “Alright, let’s see what I can do.”
First, I tried to think of words that related to gesturing. You know, like “signaling” or “motioning.” I jotted down a few ideas, but nothing seemed to fit right away. It’s like my brain was a bit rusty or something.
Then, I decided to look it up online. I typed “gesturing crossword clue” into the search bar, and guess what? A ton of pages popped up! It turns out there are like a million possible answers and a lot of people have been stuck on this one before. Who would’ve thought?
I started browsing through different crossword solver sites. One of them, and I don’t remember which, listed like 60 possible answers for “gesturing.” 60! That’s a lot of options. It was kind of overwhelming, to be honest.
- signaling
- motioning
- acting
I noticed some of these sites let you put in the answer instead of the clue to find what you’re looking for. I didn’t have the answer yet, but it got me thinking. It was kind of like working backward, which is neat.
Anyway, I kept digging, and I found another site that mentioned the clue had been seen on some puzzle a while back. It said there were about 40 different answers in their database. 40 is still a lot, but it’s less than 60, right?
After spending what felt like forever, I finally stumbled upon the answer that fit my puzzle. It was such a relief! I wrote it down and moved on to the next clue, feeling pretty accomplished.
So yeah, that’s how my little crossword adventure went today. It was way more challenging than I expected, but hey, I learned a few things and managed to solve the darn thing. Maybe I’ll try another one soon, who knows?
My Notes:
- So many possible answers to just one clue!
- There’s a bunch of websites out there to help solve crosswords.
- Sometimes working backward helps.
