Okay, so, I’ve been digging into the 2016 UGA football roster lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a trip down memory lane. It all started when I found an old news about this team, I was curious, so I began to search for the roster and the team member info.
First, I searched for the official 2016 roster online. The details are pretty easy to find. I noticed right away that the roster was displayed as a card view, making it super easy to browse through the players. Each card had a player’s picture, jersey number, position, and some other basic info. I remember scrolling through and seeing names like Sony Michel. His card had a cool pronunciation guide – “SO-nee mih-SHELL.” That’s a nice touch, you know?
Then I switched to the list view to get a better look at the team’s composition, and I clicked into the details to get more player’s info. It listed everyone, from Pat Allen, an offensive lineman who was a freshman, to Chuks Amaechi, a senior outside linebacker. You could really see the mix of experience levels on the team. I also found some team statistics, and noticed the points per game were 24.5, and opponents’ were 24.0. Also, the roster showed who’s commits, signed, enrolled, and so on, very detailed.
What really caught my eye was the “Silver Britches.” Apparently, that was some kind of special thing from Coach Wally Butts back in the day. It just shows how much history is packed into this team. I remember one game where Jake Fromm had to step in for an injured Eason. Fromm ended up throwing 10 of 15 for 143 yards and a touchdown against Appalachian State! What a way to start your college career, right?
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure exploring the 2016 UGA football roster. I started with a simple search, found the roster in different views, and dug into some cool details about the players and the team’s history. It’s amazing how much you can uncover just by poking around a bit. Oh, one more thing, I also watched a press conference video by Coach Kirby Smart, quite interesting.
