Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz online about this “Fallout London” thing. It’s like a mod for Fallout 4, but it’s supposed to be huge, almost like a whole new game. People are saying it’s set in London, which is pretty cool, a big change from the usual American setting. And the best part? It’s supposed to be free, as long as you already own Fallout 4 and all its DLCs. The developers call themselves Team FOLON, and they’re just regular folks, many are Londoners or ex-Londoners. Sounds pretty sweet, right? Fallout 4 is a good game, and mods add a ton of fun to it, so I get this feeling.
I got excited, so I did some digging to see if I could play it on my PS5. I mean, who wouldn’t want to explore a post-apocalyptic London, right? But here’s the thing – everywhere I looked, I kept seeing the same answer. I started by checking some forums where people were discussing the mod. Lots of folks were asking the same question, “Can I play Fallout London on my PS5?” I saw one comment said “No”. That’s it. Just a big, fat “no.” And not just on one forum, but on several. I thought, “Maybe they’re wrong,” but the more I looked, the more it seemed like that was the case.
Then I stumbled upon this one website that had a guide about Fallout London. The page I landed on was all about the availability of the mod on different platforms. It specifically mentioned PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. My hopes went up a bit, thinking maybe there’s a chance. But nope. The guide stated pretty clearly that Fallout London wouldn’t be released on PS5 or Xbox Series consoles. They even had a section about it with the words “London” and “Xbox” right there. It was like they knew people would be asking about this and just wanted to shut it down from the get-go.
So, after all that searching, it hit me. Fallout London is a no-go on PS5. It’s a bummer, I know. I was really looking forward to it. I even saw some people saying it’s fully possible for the mod to be on PS5 and Xbox, but it seems like that’s not happening. Maybe it’s a technical thing, or maybe the modders just didn’t have the resources to make it work on consoles. Whatever the reason, it looks like we PS5 owners will have to sit this one out.
But I’ve seen it’s possible on PC. I might just have to dust off my old gaming rig and give it a shot there.
