Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this Purdue football depth chart thing for a while now, and I thought I’d share what I found. It’s actually kinda cool, in a nerdy sort of way.
First off, I started by, you know, just Googling “Purdue football depth chart”. A bunch of stuff came up, but it wasn’t super clear. It took a bit of digging to really figure out what was what.
Then, I went to a few different websites. They all had bits and pieces, but none of them had the whole picture. So, I started writing down names and positions, like a real detective, just from these different pages. I felt like some kind of sports investigator, digging for clues, man.
Making the Chart
After gathering all this info, I started putting it together. I made a simple list, offense on one side, defense on the other. Just names and positions, nothing fancy. I wanted to keep it simple at first, it was really hard for me to collect all these information.
I wrote down names like this:
- Offense
- Running Back: Devin Mockobee, that guy is seriously good!
- There are also some other positions, I need more time to complete them.
- Defense
- Safety: Ben Freehill, I hope he could play well.
- Also, I need more time to dig out the rest positions.
Then, I started looking at who’s starting, who’s a backup, that kind of thing. Some websites have this info, some don’t. So, I had to kinda piece it together myself, like a puzzle. I compared the rosters from different sources, checking which names kept popping up in the starting positions, I think I am almost there.
Double-Checking and Updating
But, you know, things change. Players get injured, they transfer, whatever. So, I gotta keep checking back and updating my list. It’s like a living document, always changing. I’ll keep checking different websites, following the team news, and adjusting my list accordingly, it takes time to get it perfect.
It’s a lot of work, but it’s kinda fun. I feel like I know the team really well now, just from doing this. I am still figuring out, and I think I am almost there.
Anyway, that’s what I’ve been up to. Maybe it’s not the most exciting thing, but I enjoy it. And hey, now I have a pretty good handle on the Purdue football depth chart. Go Boilermakers!
