Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into this new game, “Wuthering Waves,” and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I heard about it a couple weeks ago when it launched on May 22nd. They called it a “free-to-play open-world action role-playing game,” and I was like, “Sure, why not?”
I jumped in and started exploring this huge place called Solaris-3. They talk about “endless possibilities” which seemed right up my alley. I’ve always been a sucker for games where you can just wander around and find all sorts of stuff to do. There’s a main storyline you can follow, but there are also these side quests that pop up everywhere. And you know me, I can’t resist a good side quest.
So, there’s this one side quest in Jinzhou, a region of this Huanglong place, called “A Taste of Everything.” It sounded simple enough. The description just mentioned something about sharing a meal, which hasn’t even happened yet. But it’s the journey, right?
I spent hours just running around, talking to people, and trying to figure out what to do next. One thing I really like about this game is that it gives you all these different characters to try out, and they even give you little rewards for testing them. It makes the combat pretty fun, even though the element system seems a bit pointless right now. They have some side quests that can help you unlock these characters.
I found a bunch of other side quests while I was at it. People online have been making lists of them and where to find them, which has been super helpful. The community around this game is awesome. There’s a subreddit where people are just sharing tips and talking about their experiences. It’s been great to see what everyone else is up to. They even compared this game to “Genshin” and Honkai: Star Rail”. But the combat system is totally diffrent and I enjoy it much more.
Anyway, back to “A Taste of Everything.” I’m still not sure where it’s going, but that’s part of the fun, I guess. It’s cool to just stumble upon these little stories and see where they lead. I’m going to keep plugging away at it and see what happens. If you like games where you can just get lost in the world and try a little bit of everything, you should definitely check out “Wuthering Waves.” Just be prepared to spend a lot of time wandering around!
