Albert Pujols, you know, that baseball fella? Yeah, him. Big strong guy, hits the ball real far. Folks been talkin’ ‘bout him and his… well, his women.
First off, he had this wife, Deidre. Been married to her for a coon’s age, like, twenty-some years! That’s a long time, even for us country folk. Imagine stickin’ with someone through thick and thin for that long. They had a whole passel of kids together, five of ‘em! Isabella, Ezra… can’t rightly remember all their names. Five mouths to feed, that’s a lot of mouths. Deidre, she even got sick, real sick, with that cancer thing. Albert, he stuck by her then, or so they say. But then, bam! Out of the blue, he ups and files for divorce. Says somethin’ ‘bout “irreconcilable differences.” Don’t rightly know what that means, sounds like fancy lawyer talk to me. Just means they couldn’t get along no more, I reckon.

Now, you gotta understand, when you been hitched that long, it’s a big deal to split up. Specially when you got young’uns involved. Folks ‘round here, we mostly stay hitched for life. But I guess those city folk, they do things different. Anyway, after that divorce, didn’t take Albert long to find himself another woman.
This new gal, her name is Nicole Fernandez. They say she’s a journalist, you know, writes for them newspapers or somethin’. Met her not long after the divorce, maybe a year or so. Folks were whisperin’, of course. They always do. “He moved on fast,” they said. “Must’ve had his eye on her afore he left Deidre.” But that’s just gossip, you know how it goes. Can’t trust half of what you hear.
Now, Albert and Nicole, they went and got hitched themselves, just this past September, 2023. Quick turnaround, ain’t it? Some folks say it’s too quick, say he shoulda waited. But I ain’t one to judge. Love is a funny thing, it does what it wants. Don’t care much for what other people think.
I heard tell this Nicole, she’s a good woman. Treats Albert right, they say. And that’s what matters, I reckon. He’s happy, she’s happy, let ‘em be. Life’s too short to worry about what other folks are doin’.
Speaking of them young’uns, that Isabella girl… she’s all growed up now, in her twenties. Heard she’s got that Down syndrome. But you know what? That don’t mean nothin’. She’s just as good as anybody else, maybe even better. Got a good heart, that one, you can tell just by lookin’ at her pictures. Bless her heart.
So, there you have it. Albert Pujols, baseball star, two wives, five kids. Life’s a complicated thing, ain’t it? Full of twists and turns. You think you got it all figured out, and then bam! Somethin’ comes along and throws you for a loop. But you just gotta keep on keepin’ on, like Albert, I guess. He keeps hittin’ them baseballs, and he keeps findin’ himself new women. That’s just the way life is, sometimes.
And don’t forget, this whole thing started with Deidre. She was his wife for a long, long time, and that shouldn’t be forgotten, even though he’s married to Nicole now. That’s the story of Albert Pujols and his wives, as best as I can tell it. Simple as that.
