Okay, let me tell you about my time with this ‘Sunset Treasures’ event that popped up recently. Saw the announcement, looked like some Egyptian theme thing.

The whole point was helping this character, Sofia, explore some pyramids. Apparently, she lost her artifacts, and I had to dig ’em up. Seemed simple enough, right?
First thing, you needed tools. Pickaxes, they called them. Couldn’t just go digging without ’em. Getting these meant playing the main game as usual – landing on certain tiles on the board, completing those daily quick wins, sometimes grabbing them from other event milestones. It took a fair bit of dice rolling just to collect enough pickaxes to even start properly. You really gotta grind a bit to stack up those tools.
Once I had a decent stash, I jumped into the event screen. It was this grid setup, looked like the inside of a tomb or something. You just tap on squares, use up a pickaxe, and hope for the best. Sometimes, bam! You’d uncover one of those artifacts Sofia was looking for. Other times, just rubble, a dead end for that pickaxe. It’s a bit of a guessing game, trying to figure out where the good stuff might be hidden based on the shapes you need to find.
As I started clearing squares and finding artifacts, I began unlocking the rewards for each stage or level of the pyramid. The early ones gave out the usual stuff:
- Dice rolls (always welcome, keeps you going)
- Some decent chunks of in-game cash
- A few sticker packs here and there (mostly duplicates for me, but hey, stars)
You clear all the required artifacts on one level, then you move deeper into the next pyramid level, with more squares and different shaped artifacts to find. Rinse and repeat.
The Bigger Hauls
Further into the event, the prizes got better. More dice, bigger cash amounts, better sticker packs. The main thing everyone was probably aiming for, myself included, was that special shield skin. Think they called it the Scarab Sentinel shield. Looked pretty neat in the preview, definitely something different to show off.
Honestly, some levels felt tougher than others. Sometimes you’d find most artifacts quickly, other times that last piece felt impossible to locate, just burning through pickaxes hitting blanks. It could get a little frustrating, especially when you were low on tools and had to go back to grinding the main board.
But yeah, I kept at it, digging square by square. Finally managed to clear all the levels and get that final prize, including the Scarab shield. Felt pretty good to complete it, gotta say. Took some time and a lot of dice, but that’s how these events usually go. It was a decent little diversion, and the rewards weren’t too bad, especially if you managed to finish the whole thing.
