Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “backstage competition” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I figured I’d share my whole process, from start to finish, just in case anyone else is curious or wants to give it a shot.

Getting Started
First things first, I had to figure out what I was even dealing with. I spent a good chunk of time just poking around, trying to understand the basic setup. I started by looking at the examples.
Initially,I have no idea about this, so I tried to find some simple examples.
The Process
- Built a super basic version. I mean, REALLY basic. Just enough to see if I could get anything working at all.
- Tested it like crazy. I threw all sorts of weird inputs at it, just to see what would break.
- Fixed a TON of bugs. Seriously, it felt like every time I fixed one thing, two more problems popped up.
After I had something that kind of worked, I started adding more features. This is where things got really interesting, and also really frustrating. I:
- Tried to be organized. I made a list of all the things I wanted to add, and then tackled them one by one. This helped a little, but I still ended up going down a few rabbit holes.
- Reada lot of instructions.I tried to use it step by step.
- Got stuck. A LOT. There were times when I seriously considered just giving up. But I’m stubborn, so I kept at it.
- Asked for help. I’m not ashamed to admit that I had to reach out to some online communities to get some pointers. It’s amazing how helpful people can be when you’re really struggling.
Getting it Across the Finish Line
Eventually, after a lot of trial and error, I managed to get something that I was actually pretty happy with. It wasn’t perfect, but it worked, and it was way better than what I started with.
The biggest thing I learned from this whole experience is that it’s okay to not know everything. It’s okay to make mistakes. It’s okay to ask for help. The important thing is to just keep at it, and to learn from your mistakes. And trust me, I made plenty of them!
So, that’s my story. If you’re thinking about diving into a similar project, I say go for it! Just be prepared for a bit of a rollercoaster ride. And remember, you’re not alone. There are tons of resources out there, and people who are willing to help. Good luck!
