Today, I wanna share something really cool I’ve been messing with – building my own little digital “relics” archive. I call it “yunli relics,” kinda like a personal museum but online.

Getting Started
First things first, I needed a place to put everything. I’m no web developer, but I figured a simple website would do the trick. So, I dug around and found some free hosting services. Didn’t need anything fancy, just somewhere to dump my files.
Organizing the Chaos
Next up, I had to figure out how to organize all my stuff. I had a bunch of old photos, documents, even some ancient video game saves. I decided to keep it simple: folders. Lots and lots of folders. I created folders for different categories like “Photos,” “Documents,” and “Games,” and then subfolders for years or specific projects. It’s not perfect, but it works!

The Uploading Marathon
Then came the fun part – uploading everything! This took ages. I had gigabytes of stuff to transfer. I had to do it in batches, and sometimes the connection would drop, and I’d have to start over. It was a bit of a pain, but I powered through.
Making it Look Pretty (Sort Of)
I didn’t want it to look like a total mess, I picked some of colour, basic, but it’s mine.
Sharing (or Not)
Right now, it’s just for me. A private little digital vault. Maybe someday I’ll share it with close friends or family, but for now, it’s my personal time capsule.
The End Result
It’s not perfect, and it’s definitely a work in progress, but I’m pretty happy with it. I managed to create a space where I can preserve my digital memories. And that’s what “yunli relics” is all about.
