I wanted to share a little about my life, you know, the behind-the-scenes of being Bo Nix, the football guy. A lot of people see the games, the wins, the losses, but there’s a whole lot more that goes into it, especially when it comes to family. So, today I wanna talk about my mom, Krista Chapman.
My mom, she’s not just any mom. She’s a stay-at-home mom, and let me tell you, she’s the real MVP of our family. She held down the fort while my dad, Patrick, was coaching and playing, and while me and my sisters, Emma Grace and Sara, were growing up. I gotta give her and my sisters a ton of credit for being so supportive. I mean, they’re the real stars of the family.
Growing up in a football family, you know, my dad being a former Auburn player and a coach, it’s easy to get caught up in the game. But my mom always made sure we had a balanced life. She’s the one who kept us grounded, made sure we did our homework, had dinner on the table, and just kept things normal. I remember when I was playing for the Oregon Ducks in the NCAA Division 1 season, my mom would always be there, cheering me on, whether we were at home or away.
Keeping the Family Grounded
I remember one time, I was having a rough patch, not playing my best. My mom, she just sat me down and talked to me, not about football, but about life. She reminded me that there’s more to life than just the game, and that family is what really matters. That’s just who she is, always putting things into perspective.
- She’s a stay-at-home mom: My mom chose to stay home and take care of us, and that’s a full-time job in itself.
- She’s super supportive: Whether it’s a game or just a tough day, my mom is always there for us.
- She keeps us grounded: In a world where football can be all-consuming, my mom makes sure we remember what’s really important.
Life Lessons From Mom
My mom taught me a lot about life. She showed me the importance of hard work, dedication, and always being there for your family. She’s not someone who seeks the spotlight, but she’s always there, working behind the scenes, making sure everything runs smoothly. I started playing football, aiming to win the SEC Freshman of the Year, like I did in 2019, and now here I am, playing quarterback for the Denver Broncos in the NFL, and I owe a lot of it to her.
So, yeah, that’s a little bit about my mom, Krista. She’s a huge part of my life and my success, and I just wanted to share that with y’all. It’s not always about the touchdowns and the victories; sometimes, it’s about the people who support you every step of the way. And for me, my mom is one of those people.
